Why do I always find minor misspellings so jarring? Sigh...
This is "an emerald detector" not "a emerald detector"
Also, "Chaos Emerald" really needs the space between the two words.

On the topic of the game itself, this looks pretty awesome, but it's hard to judge without a small demo. A big part of any platformer game is the physics engine. I have no other reasons to say "no" so if the engine is good, this looks fantastic.

As for the pictures above, they are all pretty convincing. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble here, but I think they're fake. In one of the pictures, all of the rockets should be the same size since they occupy the same object. These all look like edits of certain backgrounds from the Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog games in Paint.
