New Level (Adv) - Gate Mates

Post by Lucky-Luc » Tue May 18, 2010 4:04 pm

And if you'd rather see a "real" level, take a look at this one. Pretty small, but it might be a bit of a stinker.

Using a texture called "brick", it looks nice, but I unfortunately have no idea who made it :? . Thanks for it, anyway! :D

Have fun! :D (maybe it's time to use this  guy again)

Okay, since I'm going away for a few days and noone has solved it yet, here's a little hint:
You might have noticed that when changing the box on top of a button, a box in the same coloured gate will somtimes break and sometimes won't. Try to find out why. Especially pay attention to the starting positions of the boxes.
Good luck! :D

I have noticed that the box will not break if I push from one side only but it's not helping me reach the solution. :?

Well, you're close, but that statement isn't quite true. It's not about where the box comes from right before it slides into the other one. It's about where it was in the very beginning. 8)

It's mean, I know, sorry. But it's not really the first time this "feature" is used, it's simply a variation of Patrick's "Wonderland Physics 401" where the whole trick is explained - See this thread.

If you know this, the rest of the level should not be too hard, even though it might still be a little tricky :)

I read Patrick's explanation, tried it again and made it work, still very tricky.

Thanks,
