Little Known Facts About Wonderlanders

Post by DiscGolfer » Tue Mar 08, 2005 1:58 pm

I thought a Forum along these lines may be useful to those of us who wonder from where our creativeness arises. :?
Huh?
Anyway, here are a few things I feel compelled to share with my extended family-

1. I have had lunch at the same restaurant, on work days, over sixty days in a row.
2. The last seven times I have filled up my pickup truck with gas, it has been the last seven consecutive Tuesdays, and always at the same station.
3. I could be living a life of leisure in Pompano Beach, Florida, with a millionairess I met on my sixth trip to Amsterdam.

That's it for now...

I wonder what anyone else will feel compelled to share...

Let's see...

I am insanely organized
I am insane about cleanliness
I function on about 3-4 hours of sleep a night, which makes me insanely cranky
I am insanely dedicated to my school work and studies (if it is not an "A" it is not a good grade)
I am insanely obsessed with doing laundry
I am insanely in love with cooking and food
I am insanely in love with my husband

Hmmm...I guess I must be INSANE

  :o :? :D :P 8) :)

What people say about me......

I am bad tempered but kind hearted and soft.

I am witty but why can't I see the joke?

I am clever but very stupid at times.

I can be taken for a fool but I'm very wise.

I would give my last penny but I'm good with money.

I never had good taste in men but my husband is very handsome.

I was an excellent nurse but ... I wouldn't want you to nurse me! (my mum when she thought I was being hard on her)

You would have been a wonderful mother. Just as well you didn't have any kids!

I'm a good friend. She would be a bad enemy.

Who am I? A very mixed up person by the looks of it! :?

No you're not...You are a strong and intelligent woman. People see that as a threat...I see it as refreshing

We do not have any children either, but I like to think of it as God's way of spoiling the children around us...We get to spoil the heck out of them and send them home to mom and dad

It's funny the kid's absolutely love us....Mom's and Dad's...Not so much

My mum used to say. "None to make you laugh, none to make you weep."

It drove me crazy when she said that, obviously didn't understand.
How could she? :?

The nicest thing my niece said to me was a year ago. She had given birth to a wee girl, just a year after her mum's death.

I said (very proudly) "You have made me a 'great aunt', oh dear, I do feel old. She said. "You have always been a 'GREAT' aunt and will NEVER be old in our eyes, I still think of you as the rebel in the family." 8)

That is absolutely prescious...I am referred to as the Black Sheep in our family...Most of my family members are pretty reserved and then there is ME!

Same as me Lori.

My mum used to say. "Don't call me if we meet in the street, I don't want people to know I let you go out dressed like that!"

If it wasn't mini skirts (pelmets) it was long flowing dresses and love beads.

I was such a Tom Boy...and still am actually. Andy's boss looked at me one time (at a wedding) and said "Oh, you're a girl dragon"

He said OMG she's got legs, and skin and...he kept at it all night until I chewed him up, spit him out and set him on fire

Lori

PS: My dearest friend in the world tells people that I am the only person she knows that can eat a bucket of nails for breakfast and still smile through out the day

I was a terrible tomboy at school, liked nothing better than a game of football with the boys.

My cousin (who is now a football manager) used to say. "The wee yin could sign up for Glasgow Rangers."

OMG, the very idea.

HMMMM......How much to give away with the Picture me Contest coming up? Is this a ploy to get us to divulge info about ourselves?

1. I will only write using a pen with black ink.
2. I prefer sour candy to chocolate.
3. I can have 300 loaves of French Bread ready to bake in 54 minutes. (I did it last night)
4. My bowling average is 167.
5. My lucky number is 24.
6. My husband loves to show me blueprints of his projects......I just smile and say how nice. (I can never make heads or tails of them!)

Being a nurse I do same thing with regards to ink...but OMG 300 loaves of bread...that is just pure talent or craziness. Good golly...I can cook but it takes me forever to make one loaf let alone 300. I want to live near you so that you can make fresh bread for me...Yummy

ok....here's a couple things about me......

I never had or want any kids (that way I get all the toys)

I still play with play-doh.

My favorite color is purple (dark, not wimpy lavender)

I've always been a tomboy.

I get mad when I don't get my own way.

I made ONE loaf of bread once----it was bad
Yes, I'm a donkey......
and I'm purple.....
and I am Polly, Minnie's little sister.

We may all pipe up about Girl Power...but there are an awful lot of Tom boys in here. Too bad we can't all get together and play some soft ball or soccer. Now wouldn't that be a hoot :P

OMG Are we all clones?

1. Yes - I definitely err on the side of Tom Boy
2. I have no children, except one - he's 41 but well behaved most of the time
3. I only ever write with a fountain pen - blue ink
4. Never baked a loaf in my life

OK, if we're going to bare all....

1) I also never had, nor wanted, any kids (although I inherited some step-kids along the way)
2) The movie channel I watch most often is LMN  (believe it or not!)
3) My favorite person ever is my partner, Janet-K (Hey! She introduced me to Wonderland, don't forget!)
4) I also laughed at Eeyore31's comment about bread
5) I really wish I could retire today and move to Myrtle Beach :?
