Indigo Square Games

Post by Technos72 » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:32 am

I've been thinking about this for months after finding out that selling game maker games are legit. I was planning to make my own little business by making and selling a series of indie games (If I'm correct that "indie" means made by one person). I have two okay locations of selling these games, at school, and buying online by cheque if possible. I know games like these can be hard and take a long time to make. I have a few game ideas to let you know about that I may create and sell. But these features and titles may be beta.

Neon Bricks
An arcade style breakout game with many different kinds of bricks and powerups. It has many levels, a cool neon theme and backgrounds, a random level generator mode, and a level editor.

Gravity Miner
A puzzle kind of game where you're gem mining. Click on gems to make them disappear and let other gems on top fall. This game has different game modes like an action mode with a new line at the bottom every few seconds, puzzle where you need to clear out a big part of the field, and a mode where it has pictures made with gems and you have to clear out all of them.

Palette
Where you're this girl with powers that can change the colour of the atmoshpere following the power used. I'm not sure how the plot and level select is going to look like yet. And backgrounds will be self-done.

Maybe if I finish these games someday I'll might as well select some lucky friends around here to have a copy of a game for free.

Logo thing... (PRODUCTION NAME THING MAY BE CHANGED)

Cool. Maybe you could ask xprd for a logo(in case he ever gets anymore done*shot*)
Remember to look at the dates that every post is made. It's been many years, and I, and others, may not be the same people we were when we made them. This is a symbol of where we came from, and should be remembered as that.

Just a warning: It is quite easy to decompile GM games from what I have heard. Also, how do you fight piracy?

But still, I can give help on networking stuff (highscore system etc)

This sounds very interesting, I'll be sure to give it a go once some kind of demo is out. :D

Forgot to put in something. I may not start work on these games sooner or later. As I'm still planning what these games will look like
