Two Wop Requests: Gem Gate & Stinker Thwart

Two Wop Requests: Gem Gate & Stinker Thwart

I know that you are a bit overloaded, Jafo, but I have Two more Wop requests I need done.

1. "Gem Gate". A gate that acts just like a coin gate, but only responds to gems.

2. "Stinker Thwart". A Stinker that acts exactly like a Thwart. In other words, a Thwart with a Stinker Model. I would like the stinker to be Normal Size, but have a crown.

Think you can fit those in?

this is not easy, only coins and stars can work, but not gems, and another thing, how will you know how much gems you have got

Not possible. You can't program new functions to a wop - it's all hard coded in the wg.exe.

The model might crash the game when it attempts to emulate the Thwart throwing animation. It would also crash the game because of the extra parameters needed for the model, and the way the Thwart's color parameter would change it.

As for the crown, you could get jafo to make a crown hat for you. You wouldn't be able to put a hat on a Thwart, though.

I don't need the throwing animation, and the Crown could be part of the model. :wink:

If jafo makes a whole new model, he would need to create animations for it too...

Yeah, I agree with the comments so far. I can't do anything other than a star or coin gate because that's what's available in the game program. I can't add new functions.

As for the stinker-thwart, the thwart logic tries to run animation routines when the thwart walks or throws a fireball. If it can't find those routines, the player will MAV. Jozsefkoma seems to have found a way around this judging from one of his preview videos, but I don't know how he managed it.

EDIT: I believe a crown accessory already exists. I'm not going to be able to make any new models for a little while. Too busy with work.

The stinker don't turn with face on you when he shot. :(

Yes, I do. And i know the crown already exists, but I want it to have a crown because that is what the stinker's hat is. He wants to destroy you, so he throws fireballs at you. Cue boss scene. :P

Actually, a normal cap is fine. I could have him change into his "War Hat" before you fight. :P :lol:
