I've never heard of generations either, and I'm a huge Sonic fanboy...well, I used to be, but then Evil Toaster came along.

Sonic Colors is EPIC.

Generations wasn't announced all that long ago, but it's out later this year.

The Gimmick Of The Month (that's what I'm calling it now) is that you can play as either Modern or Classic Sonic, each with different gameplay styles - Modern Sonic's is identical to Sonic Unleashed, while Classic Sonic's is based on the Classic trilogy's momentum-based gameplay, moreso than Sonic 4.

Additionally, at least most of the levels (if not all of them) are going to be levels from various eras (Genesis, Dreamcast, and Modern).

In other words, people like me can stop complaining about Sega not listening, because they are (Sonic 4 doesn't count, Sega of America was listening but Sega of Japan was confident they didn't need advice. We all see how that turned out...).

Yeah...I'm going back on topic...
I spent the last few days goofing off, trying to beat my own boss, and ironing out glitches.

Right now, I'm working on level 3(I have allready finished level 4, though). There are conveyor belts in that level, and right now all the ones that push you left don't work. The ones that push right do work, so I guess I either screwed up or game maker is being a piece of crap again.

I'll try to fix that...but I think It'll delay the making. But that won't make much of a difrence, I've been working on demo one for...what, a month now?

P.S. It's not too late to become a tester!

I fixed that glitch. I had the right programing all along, I just needed to take something out and put it back in exactly that way it was...whoever says game maker is not glitchy is wrong.

Anyway, I might(that's a big might...don't get your hopes too high) be amble to get demo one out by the end of the weekend. It's not the level making that takes long, it's finaly beating my own boss.
But after that, I have to add a pause menu, 2 cutscenes, the save system(won't take long at all), and...if I were to let you replay levels, would you use it? If not, I won't bother adding it. There's gropples, but there aren't any green apples(I wish I could find a way to get them in the plot, though.).

I think I found a way to work Green Apples into the plot, but they won't have much to do with it, though. They will be there, but freeing them won't have anything to do with the plot. Just them being traped will.

However, freeing them won't be useless. I think I'll have you unlock bonus levels from freeing them.

You guys like?

Well, try to limit yourself. If you try to have 300 apples like I am, you WILL be spending hours organizing everything. It took long enough just for 80 new apples. :(

Ok, I will. Demo 1 would only have 20(4 levels x 5 apples each = 20), max, anyway...

SUPER DUPER MEGA ULTRA SPAMMY PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY BUMP
*shot*

Anyway, I'm still working on this. Progress is slow, but it's there.
I'm planing on putting 2 playable apples in some levels. Like, you control one with up,down, left, right, and space, and you control the other with a,w,s,d, and caps lock or something. This would use split screen.

This (probaly) won't be in demo 1, but I'm gonna start on it now because I feel like it. :P

Elemna is playable now. :D

I'm working on a new save engine, like the one in Noob Hunter. This save engine is glitchy and I got sick of fixing all the glitches that came with it.

The boss is done. Finnaly. I made it 3 hits to death instead of 7.

The new save engine is done...I think. I may of forgotten to fix gropples. I'm gonna make it that when you die(completly) you will lose all the green apples you may of found durring that run. With the engine I plan on using(the normal save) it would reset your gropples, too. So I don't need to focus on it.

As far as 2 apples go, it's not working out. split screen messed drawing up, and swaping wonderland style didn't work well for lives. I'm too lazy to add another set of lives, so I'm gonna have your allies follow you through the level, and they will shoot when you shoot. That should help the player, I think.

I think I thought of a good way to use green apples in the plot!
When you fight the God of Toasters for the first time, you lose no matter what. Then Mapac gets the idea of forming a army, like they did thousands of years ago when the God of Toasters first struck. So you need to free all the green apples to have a chance at beating the God of Toasters. Your other allies(The apple, Elemna, Mapac, and anyone else I feel like using) will fight allongside the green apples. You will get to lead the army, assuming I feel like programing it.
I found the final battle music. It's epic. It makes the world sound even more doomed than it allready is if you lose...

I want to add more fan charecters, just for the fun of it. I'm gonna think of some possiblitites on the spot, ok? Please tell me which ones you like.

Doom
Doom is a apple...well, a black silloute of a apple, anyway. He is good, but he actually ENJOYS being is the apple vs. toaster war. If he was in ET4, he would attempt to destroy the seed of peace. His hate for the world dosen't make him a bad ally, though. He is very skilled at fighting. His powers include teleportation(over short distances), invisibilty, hovering(for brief very periods), and he can control darkness. The darkness power dosen't realy come in handy, though. He leaves a trail of black smoke wherever he goes.

Blaster
Blaster is a orange apple. His tallent is blowing stuff up. He is immune to fire, and can create explosions around himself. Also, give him about a minute to focus, and he can cause just about anything to explode. Of course, he can't do it on powerful people like Roaster, ET, and GOT, but he can get weaker toasters, toast, and walls to explode.

Whoosh
Whoosh is a cyan apple. She is VERY fast(it's a girl. We don't want to leave Elemna all alone, do we?). She's like Sonic turned into a apple. She can run up walls, and if she has the swim sealant, she can run on water. She can also jump realy high. Besides her speed, she is not too strong. I mean she dosen't hit hard. If she rams into someone, they have a good chance of flying into the sun, if is she does something like a d-smash don't count on doing anything useful.

Slippery
Slippery is a...banana. Slippery feels alone, not being a apple or a toaster, but he desides to help the apples, since he's a fruit and not a piece of metal. He's funny, but he can be super-annoying when he wants to. He's not a good fighter, until you get him motivated. Or angry. Or both. When that happens, he gains the power to use some magic spells(lighting what he wants on fire, freesing what he wants, summoning lighting to hit what he wants, making cages explode, ect.). When he wants to use a spell, he floats in midair, and beguins to glow blue. Then he changes from yellow to blue. When he is done, the spell activates. When he has acsess to his magic, he can hover like Doom, but for any legnth of time.

Don't bother with so many new characters unless your game is going to be quite cutscene-heavy, otherwise their personalities and traits would be useless.

In the unlikely event of me getting anti-lazy fixing my engine, CAN I USE DOOM IN FT3.5P2 PLZ PLZ PLZ BECAUSE IT WOULD BE EPIC?

@Nobody(post 1):Allright, I'll try to include Blaster. :D

@Kooky:Demo 1 has at least 2 cutscenes, probaly 3. There's 5 levels. I think that counts as cutscene heavy if I keep like that. :P

@Nobody(post 2): :D :D :D
You know, I've allwas wanted someone to ask me that. :P Go ahead!
I guess that means I should try to find places for Blaster and Doom?

I had almost the exact same character planned for ET5?! Same color, same gender, and fast (but not over-the-top fast like suggested in your post).

OMG, what are the chances of that? Mind if I made Whoosh your charecter's twin or something, since they are allmost the same and I couldn't realy use yours without her and The apple meeting?
Just saying, Woosh can run on water and stuff, but it's just. Nowhere near Sonic's speed. Think about it, "hotwheels" cars go through loops, thus up walls, and last time a checked they don't go at the speed of sound. :P

The problem is that some of the new apple characters I have planned (including the cyan one) don't have the same origins as the Apple and his friends, thus they wouldn't be able to meet.
