Hope I'm not stepping out of bounds w/Midniught Synergy - I'd like to make this a place to upload your state/country level! THEN - when everyone's done, we'd like to make it into a level pack - SOOO - waiting for Midnight Synergy's approval - and hope it's a GO!!!
EDIT: DON'T UPLOAD IN THIS POST - SEE BELOW ON UPLOADING IN A SEPARATE POST!!

After thinking about it, it might be TOO MUCH for one thread - all the states, countries, etc. - maybe we should do it as Malc suggested for the "idgit challenge" - upload our levels, but start with the word, "World Level" - or something like that (maybe just WL-[then the name of the level]). That way when we are done, we can ask Midnight Synergy to make all the "World Levels" (or WL levels) into a level pak. Any other suggestions??

Hi BIGZIPZ,
In answer to your questions:-
a) ol'gramma/majic1 are proposing that level creators make a level based on their chosen country/zone/state/county etc - you want to do Leeds i think - the filename when uploading should start with WL.....
b) Idjit competition was proposed by Freightrain for levels to be uploaded by 31st march - to us brits idjit means joke/silly/fun level - people can then play them on April 1st !!
I suggested that these levels when uploaded could start with IDJIT.....
Hope this is of some help !!!!

Hmm.. I'm a brit, have been for 42 years and never heard if the word.malcdelsol wrote:... to us brits idjit means joke/silly/fun

Eejit, yes; idiot yes. Idjit, no. So I'm not really surprised BIGZIPZ was not sure. Mind you, he is only young, lucky guy.

Anywayz. It should be a good comp whatever it's called.

Main prob with the 'idjit' comp for me is, I used my 'guaranteed winning entry' against that guy who complained he had better things to do with his time than have to work out your 'Rawhide' level in this post. http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=234 Remember?
He's never come back, so I guess he's still working on it.

So, since I don't have the brains to work out another one, I'll put myself forward as an unofficial judge instead.

It's all good fun. Great levels, nice people, no-one loses, everybody wins.

Hi Bearsland,
Glad to see that your another Brit on this Forum - and congratulations on becoming a Rainbow Wonderlander.
I have been a Brit for some 53 years (hence EARTHDATE:- 30th September 2050 - will be my 100th birthday so I REALLY am pleased that you completed Captain Stinky's mission
)
Originally, I too had no idea as to the meaning of the word IDJIT. So at the time when Freightrain suggested the competition I asked for an explenation of this word.
Freightrain was kind enough to give a long and detailed response - which, for the life of me, I didn't understand at all

Fortunately SharonM also posted a reply which cleared this matter up - I think !!
Also, yes, I do remember your post on my 'Rawhide' level and indeed your own level 'NOTTOOHARD'.
Would this have won the Idjit competition
As much as I appreciate the thought and time that you put into creating that level - I'm not so sure it was a competition winner
For me personally I tend to shy away from levels that are long and difficult such that whenever Stinky 'sees the stars' you have to keep starting-over.
A good effort non-the-less though.
Anyway OB, there is still a whole week to go before the closing date for the Idjit competition. You don't need any sleep - get on the Level Editor - YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU.

Me neither.malcdelsol wrote:Freightrain was kind enough to give a long and detailed response - which, for the life of me, I didn't understand at all![]()

Anyway, Hi malc.
You sure you remember my (one and only) level??? There was no way Stinky could get killed. It was a specially designed level for those who need to get things done quick.

I won't be entering the Country/Home town level thingie or the Idjit Challenge. Not because I don't want to, but because...
Firstly, Davimad and cookie (I think she's Scottish ?) would be covering Scotland.
Secondly, I'm a puzzle solver, not a setter. (Sounds weird, but I'm confident you all know what I mean by that).
