New Level - Speckles
New Level - Speckles
Thought I'd see if I could still find my way around the editor, so I created a typically very easy level for anyone who wants to waste a couple of minutes.
Thanks to whomever created texture artdeco and background firstthaw. Enjoy!
EDIT: Yeah, yeah, so I've attached the texture and background zip files. OK?

Welcome back, Roger!
You were the one who encouraged me to create levels.
So good to see you back home again.
Now off to play your new level...
EDIT:
Playing was a fun trip down memory lane.
Your trademark style is quite evident.
And your genius for puzzles hasn't changed.
Thank you, Roger. Now don't you run away.

IT'S YOU!!!!!!!!! I thought I'd never see you again... loved your obano levels!
Right now I'm celebrating my birthday and then I'll have to work... but then I'll play the level.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Thanks Mark old friend. Seems like the levels and everything else has changed
here, but my pal Mark stays my pal. I know my levels aren't the going kind of levels now,
but I've actually been playing RTW a little bit lately (and can't solve most of them, even the old ones),
so it's even possible that I'll bore you with yet more levels in the 'old' style. Nothing fancy,
nothing too complex, I like to keep them small, and I don't like to hide things, you may recall. Thanks again!

What I enjoy about your levels is they are friendly and approachable, like you.rmelin13 wrote: I've actually been playing RTW a little bit lately (and can't solve most of them, even the old ones), so it's even possible that I'll bore you with yet more levels in the 'old' style. It's admirable that you don't hide things, or use fake walls. Because you are honest and always play fair.
Complex and unsolvable levels are frustrating. They require work and most of us are here for fun.
Thank you Roger, for breathing life back into the forum.

I enjoyed "Speckles" so much, that I went back and played it again and again.
Trust me, your levels are never boring. Each one is a cleverly crafted gem!

Just played this level and finally got 'er done! It's not very hard but the layout is definitely a bit deceptive at first.
When I found the right start, it wasn't very difficult, but it was exceptionally neat.
As for the visuals, I never thought I'd see a yellowish almost-but-not-quite-sandy texture being used over an ice background... and I most definitely never thought I'd see it working so well! The artdeco/firstthaw combination proved me wrong.
Overall, you have returned with a yet another winner level. I'm looking forward to see more.

Hey Roger!
Good to see a level from you. (Typically easy? No! Solvable!!!)
It is quite confounding to open the editor after being away from it for a while. Glad you fired it up.
I have been through at least 4 computers in the course of my Wonderland years. So many levels, textures and models have been lost or left behind.
Many of the adult participants seem to have converted to LURKER status, just looking in now and again, but I am sure you noticed that.
Life Happens.
Best to you,
jg

JG - what a pleasant surprise! Great to hear from the best of artistic talent to hit the forum!
Maybe there are more lurkers out there, who knows?
Glad you were able to solve the small puzzle. Another one coming today.
Thanks for trying it out, it's always good to hear from friends of yesterday.
And Muzozavr, thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it.
