That depends on the behavior that you want from the ice. The ice in ET5 is going to be completely frictionless (although increasing your acceleration won't be possible. Sorry!). If you want slippery ice with a bit of friction, then I don't know an efficient way to code that.kidkidaaa1 wrote:Can you tell me how you make it ????
Anyways, generic service announcement: Once I finish my current WA tennis level, I'll really try to focus on ET5 since I have quite a bit of motivation for working on it right now. Also, Demo 3 will only contain Chapter 3 because I'm planning to put a lot more effort into it than originally anticipated. Hopefully I'll answer some of the questions from the list that boywhoflies posted earlier.
Bear with me, people. After Demo 3, we'll finally be getting to the good parts of the story.

(I think I missed a question. Grax says that "him" is not in charge, or something similar. Who is he? There's some other probaly irelevant stuff, like how was Motewolon made, if ET was realy supposed to be just a self operating toaster, or if when Random Apple spoke it was always the same apple. One real one I missed, what is the Power Box?)

Sorry that I wasn't able to post a picture this week. I was too busy to work on ET5 due to having to study for the final exams of the school semester, which were rather brutal.
Plus, I've had a distinct lack of motivation recently. It's not that I don't want to finish ET5 or anything. I think about it and its plot pretty often. I'm just really discouraged right now because the story is going to get really awesome around halfway through the game, but I'm still around the beginning which is definitely the most boring part of the story. I feel discouraged thinking about all of the work I have ahead of me before I finally get to the parts of the game that I'm actually excited to make.

Guess:Cyan roflcopters are somewhat like yellow ones, but only shoot one thing of wind when touched, possibly as well as the normal "roflcopter boost".
Another guess:They make a platform under you if you fall toward them.
One more guess:They make a floating platform that brings you up when touched.

I've decided that every demo is only going to contain one chapter. It will generate more discussion and anticipation that way, plus it will make the game's lifespan longer (as in, for how long the game gets discussed before the topic finally dies, at which point the game would probably be finished). So that means there's most likely going to be 15 demos, including the final version.
Demo 3 is going to resolve a lot of the messy plot threads that have existed since Evil Toaster 4 (and some from earlier!). There's a ton of cutscenes and stuff that I need to make, so I'm sort of going in above my head here (Crazy Circus already took long enough to make), but I might as well get these hard-to-deal-with plot threads over with. That way, the later climatic levels will be easier to make and get straight to the point on rather than still having to clarify old, vague things.
I'm almost done planning Chapter 3's climatic level. I don't have much of an idea about when Demo 3 is going to be released, but it's probably going to be before the end of February (or shortly after that time). Or it might be released next week. I have no idea. Maybe things will go well and I'll finish super fast.
