IS 2012 -doomsday- ACTUALLY REAL??????

As we get closer to the so-called doomsday in December 21st, things have gotten weird and terrifying right now. I'll give some information that occured

- Hostess shut down their company. No more twinkies
- Elmo has retired. Childhoods ruined
- The NHL lockout, well at least in Canada if you don't have that

This is a bad omen. I'm scared. Does anyone want to add to this list of evil news headlines?

If it was real, then what would happen? Do you even know? Nibiru was proven false years ago and the Mayan calendar is only ending because it is the next B'aktun in the cycle. (Or however you spell that)

The Mayan calendar does not account for extra days in leap years, so "technically" the supposed end-date has already passed a long time ago.

Look, if the Mayan Calender ended in 2015 there would be JUST as many excuses supporting it. This year it's tornadoes on the sun and noises in the atmosphere, in three years time it would've been the pigeons falling out of the sky or something. If we never discovered the end of the Mayan calender, we wouldn't be batting an eyelid at these tornadoes and noises. What's more, the Mayan prophecy is the only excuse which doesn't really hold up. It was just the end of their calender, and Mayan experts don't think they actually meant anything by it.
