New Level (Advanced) - Loof Stops and Starts

Post by Liz Mayhew » Thu Nov 22, 2012 5:00 pm

509LIZM - Loof Stops and Starts

Conveyor buttons are key here.

This is another one using my lizmetal texture which I used in the last level. If you haven't got it, you can download it here:

http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic ... 875#318875

Have fun! :D :D

EDIT: I've decided to replace this level with the revised version which I posted lower down the page. I've renamed the revised version to 509LIZM.

Yay! More levels! I loved your 508th one, however I still can't solve the blue sphere part.

This one isn't any easier. I will keep working on it and get back to you later.

Umm... I guess I need help on the start. Do I need to destroy the powder keg when it is on the button? If so, then what do I need to do?

Answer (highlight to see): You should never destroy the keg - it should stay on the button until you exit.

Hi Liz
Another level full of conundrums and absolutely fun to work out. :D
Seems your time out gave your spirit new wings. I wished these wings would wave for a long, long time.
Thanks for this wonderful treasure. I'm looking forward to everything to come.

Hi LCD

I notice that Amnon has given a hint, which shows that yet again he's found a completely different way of doing the level. Surprise, surprise!

I'd love to know how you've done it Amnon.

LCD, you probably don't need these first hints, but here's how I do the very start:
Push boulder down and step left. When it returns, push boulder right.
Push left boulder down to smash box, start the conveyor and land in the water.
Change the arrow direction and push the barrel left to the wall.
Push the other boulder onto the conveyors, using the breaktiles.
Change the arrow direction again and push the barrel onto the conveyors, follow, jump up over the tramp and stand on the boulder bridge until the barrel opens the aqua gates.
Hints for once you've got through the aqua gate:
Step on the white button and push the boulder left onto the conveyors. Wait until the boulder stops in the first room, then follow round the conveyors.
Get the coin in the right corner and push the boulder onto the conveyor button to stop them.
Push the barrel left, over the tramp to smash the top plasma cube.
This should give people a start. Shout if you need more help. 8)

I'd love to know how you've done it Amnon.
I did the beginning the same way, all except the last line of your hint,
however; I did not blow up the top ice-cube, simply went in by foot on the stopped conveyors, picked all the coins and used the bottom ice-cube to continue.

So I was in the clear, all the gate buttons were pushed...

AND THEN THE CONVEYOR BELT WASN'T!!

I thought I had it. I will try again later when I think I can figure that last part out.

Hi Seagal

To cover the green buttons:
You need to redirect the z-bot. Stand on a green button until the z-bot passes through the open green gate in the bottom left corner. Quickly step right out of the way (avoiding stepping on that breaktile). Now the z-bot is keeping the green gates open.
Hope this helps.

Amnon - your way is much easier. Of course I didn't spot that little loophole  Never mind, the level can be done either way. 8)

Hey Liz,

Great level and fun to figure out. Thanks!

FYI - I didn't use the three bottom boulders, the box or one cube. I also didn't need to use the light blue gates or button.

I haven't read the other posts so my message may be redundant.

It's so good to have Liz levels back!

Woah Anne! Looks like you've found a MAJOR LOOPHOLE I'll have to have another look at that to see how you managed it.

Thanks for playing everyone. :D

Shame on me for not seeing something as obvious myself!

But you did need to touch at least one of those 3 boulders, didn't you? just to get it out of the way...

Yes a loophole so big you could fly a jumbo jet through it.

So with the change of one conveyor tile and an additional wall tile, I think I may have plugged the hole.

If anyone can now be bothered with it, here is the revised version.

EDIT: I've replaced the first version with the corrected one, so I'm removing this level here.

Thanks for the fun. I had to use your hints with the barrel and the green balls. I am glad you are back to making levels.
