I had NO messages whatsoever in my inbox. None. Not one. Quite a large difference from 65535.

Partial explanation:

The forum uses a 2-byte variable to store the number of messages.

If you use 2 bytes, you can use numbers from 0 up to 65535. If you try to use number 65536, it rolls "over" and becomes 0. :wink:

So that means somehow, due to some glitch, the forum actually thought you had -1 messages. I have noticed that some forums allow you to STORE (not receive) messages even once your inbox is full -- was your inbox 110% full and then you decided to clear all your messages? That might have caused the glitch. Or maybe it was something else, but either way, -1 rolls "over" and "back" to 65535.

This reminds me of the "Most users ever online was 129 on Tue Apr 11, 2006 2:48 pm" glitch that happened (and is still showing, haha).

I don't think we even really have that many active users on here, unfortunately. :(
