yeah this is a runescape topic so I'm guessing I can post pictures. Here's one of a huge mahogany log collection. I sold all the logs and did the same thing a few times that I got over 2 million coins. I used it to buy saradomin armor which I have full now. I'll upload a picture of me and my armor later.

Also there was some interesting news following a recent update called the Squeal of Fortune. It's a daily game where a wheel is spun and you win an item determining on where the wheel stops. There are rare items on this wheel. One day Jagex made an update where you can use real money to buy SoF spins, but made players angry when they tried it as well as few other negative things. Like the start of a riot in World 66 in falador where a big crowd of players would stand and say "just say neigh to gambling". This is probably known to be one of the worst updates so far in 2012.
Interesting picture of the riot (don't know why they're not saying don't say neigh)

No, there is a legit conversation on this game.Sammy_Bro wrote: This topic best fits in Things that don't fit/deserve another topic, FYI.

Stop being a backseat moderator.
I have tried this gam, but I got confused on the tutorial, and decided to never ever play it, it didn't seem interesting anyway.

I would like to get a basic idea about a new thing before starting it!
PLEASE???
RuneScape is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released in January 2001 by Andrew and Paul Gower, and developed and published by Jagex Games Studio. It is a graphical browser game implemented on the client-side in Java, and incorporates 3D rendering. The game has approximately 10 million active accounts per month, over 156 million registered accounts, and is recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world's most popular free MMORPG.
RuneScape takes place in the world of Gielinor, a medieval fantasy realm divided into different kingdoms, regions, and cities. Players can travel throughout Gielinor on foot, through the use of magical teleportation spells and devices, and via numerous other methods, such as charter ships. Each region offers different types of monsters, resources, and quests to challenge players. The game's fictional universe has also been explored through a tie-in video game on its maker's other website, FunOrb, Armies of Gielinor, and the novels Betrayal at Falador and Return to Canifis.
Players are represented in the game with customisable avatars. RuneScape does not follow a linear storyline; rather, players set their own goals and objectives. Players can choose to fight non-player character (NPC) monsters, complete quests, or increase their experience in the available skills. Players interact with each other through trading, chatting, or by participating in mini-games and activities, some of which are competitive or combative in nature, while others require cooperative or collaborative play.
The first public version of RuneScape was released on 4 January 2001 in beta form, and in December 2001, Jagex was formed to manage the game. As the game's popularity grew, the game engine was rewritten, and its beta was opened to paying players on 1 December 2003 under the name "RuneScape 2". It was renamed RuneScape upon its stable release on 29 March 2004.

TADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there are a few interesting updates announced to Runescape today. There's the new Runespan which is a new activity to train runecrafting up to 99. Free members have access to part of it while members access the whole thing, if at the proper level. I haven't been there yet.
And then there's the Queen Black Dragon which is extremely huge and one of the most hardest boss battles EVAR. The worst part is that you're going solo meaning you can't get help from your friends. But after defeating the queen black dragon the rewards are phenominal.

Yeah I started playing in 2008 where they had the tutorial island, but it's no longer accessable now. I wish that was still upyot yot5 wrote:The new tutorial on Runescape does stink, Stinkersquad.

The second tutorial was quite good (there's a knight and a dragon, and the knight needs you to smith him a new sword/cook him a meal/other basic chores), but the third one is rubbish. The knight and dragon is the same, but after the first part he chucks you out into the world without any chores to get you started.
Or he just wants to troll people. After all, right clicking shows you can pick up dragon claws, but no.yot yot5 wrote:I once saw a player with a baby troll called "Dragon Claws". He must've been really rich and really stupid.Technos72 wrote:Also I have a baby troll named Infinity Hat

The squeal of fortune now has triple money prizes to celebrate the new Player Owned Ports update. You can win up to 600M. I just came back from it and won a Tier 7 Tzhaar whip! (the highest tier!) These tzhaar whips are there for a limited time that celebrate the new Tzhaar themed grandmaster quest The Brink of Extinction.
EDIT: and forgot to follow up on my infinity hat thing. I know infinity robes aren't worth the money, but it's called bling or in some players' prespectives, a money holder
PLEASE don't say you support the Squeal of Fortune.Technos72 wrote:The squeal of fortune now has triple money prizes to celebrate the new Player Owned Ports update. You can win up to 600M. If I won 600mil, I'd discard it.
How strong is it? If it's as strong as a REAL abyssal whip, then it's a completely unfair achievement. You can wield a powerful weapon and be better off than others simply because you were lucky.Technos72 wrote:At least I got a rare item. Is that okay?
Of course, I can't bully you into throwing it away or whatever, but I'm PROUD to be playing RS without taking advantage of other players through luck.
Because it would ruin the entire fun of the game. When somebody asked me "How did you earn so much money?", I would reply "I was lucky". It takes away the point of the achievement.Tecnos72 wrote:And why would you discard 600m?
