Who heard? There was a meteor shower in Russia.

There was another one in Cuba.

Forget about the apocalypse, though, that's not gonna happen. Such events have happened before.

There was also a lightning strike that hit St. Peter's Basilica at the moment Pope Benedict XVI resigned (I keep hearing it was as soon as he said it, or that it was an hour or 2 later so I'm not really sure when it was).

Saw that link. That meteor show is so amazing, it even brightened the
twilight sky as it passed over, and created a 'hit' flash with shades of red.

Some lucky dude or astronomer is probably picking up traces
of precious metals where it hit.

I wish, wish that that would happen in my hometown, nothing hardly ever happens around here, darn it.

Well, hundreds of people need help in some way because of it. But yeah, it's all over the news. All that ever happens here are tornadoes
