New Level (Adv) - Nefarious

It's been about year since I posted a level, so I might be a bit rusty.
This one is for Bob who inspired me with his new Conveyor series. :D

LCD - I could only solve the last one when Mark helped me with the cannon puzzle. That was the key to that level.

Mark - needless to say this is a total enigma. The main problem is of course those flames by the black TPs. I just don't see how to send anything up there. So far I have managed to cover the white button and put something in the water below the ice slide/tramp combo, but I'm sure that's not right.

Still thinking ... :wink:

Hey Mark,

I think I may be missing a trick with a barrel and the black TPs. Am I going in the right direction? I'm thinking that I need to
use the barrel going back and forth to be able to head the prism up to one of the flames.
Is that correct?

Anne, No, don't worry about the flames.

Great level Mark!

History is a good teacher and having played a lot of levels is helpful sometimes, especially when it comes to remembering some of the many unusual things that can happen...even when you're sure they shouldn't. :D

Still this took a good while to work out and I enjoyed it all the way.

Sorry L'Carpetron Dookmarriot 3 that I never posted a solution for "All Summer In A Day".

My tester, Marinus has been missing for many months now.

The "banking move" I created for "Genesis" was the inspiration for this outing.
When I saw it still being used in Bob's excellent "Conveyor Boy" I invented a variation for it.

Anne, you are on the right track about the combo jump.
Don't worry about putting out those flames.

Obviously I didn't solve that level the way it was meant to be solved because I never made any ice jumps at all. :oops:

Back to Nefarious: Now I know something is supposed to be sliding back and forth on the ice I have no idea how. If I try to use a barrel it blows up the prism. If I try to use a prism the same thing happens.

I'm out today so I have no more time to try.

Hi Liz,

The reference for "Conveyor Boy" is regarding a combo-jump off a moving object.
The moving object in "Nefarious" doesn't use a conveyor or ice, which is the reason I designed it.

The ice on the left side is to get the barrel where it needs to go.
Some flying is necessary for the barrel. :shock:
TP or not TP, that is the question... :?

There is just one object here that can bank the barrel without destruction.
Only time will tell. :wink:

Back, again. Thought I had it all figured out and just needed to stop getting shot by the cannon. Wrong.

With a bit more help from Mark, I went through the very scary exit. :shock: :shock:

Ok, so now I know how to move stuff off the trampolines, but the barrel or prism always seems to be stuck on the black TPs. What do you do after this?

After this, Place a barrel below the trampoline so you can jump up 2, then down 3. There is something else to do before jumping, but I'll let you find it out youself.

Yay! Progress! I managed to get to the cannon room, but after I kill the z-bots and the shadow stinker I just don't see what to do. I hope I did everything right. If I destroy the box, the cannon will always kill me before I have a chance to get the coins. I don't see any other way to complete it though. I hate to ask for more help, but I'm trying to beat this one.

Made it at last! :D :D

Bob helped me out with the opening move which I was always getting wrong, and that move is crucial. And he confirmed that a few of my previous moves were right.

After that, many, many tries later I finally reached home. The z-bot area caused me lots of retries :twisted:

Mark - thanks so much for another pushing, jumping, sliding, enigma. :stinkyhappy:

Opening moves:
Down into secret wall, right, up over trampoline, push barrel left (bonus coin) push barrel down over ice then right 3 places, come around and push it up, then left onto ice and trampolines and QUICKLY push prism right.
Then replace timer with prism, then bring remaining barrel all the way down next to button and gate, then jump...

I spoke too soon I thought when I jumped I could get past the fire and use the box for the buttons but that did not work for me I still need to know how to get to the blue button and cover it. I know how to do the yellow dude part once I get my blue button covered.
