26th Adventure: Amnesia
Very, very good adventure. I've never played the original game, so I cannot say how much is the storyline similar to it, but I love the feeling. I'm in the jail, and I can almost smell that the story will end soon.
It isn't very scary, but it has that magic thing that makes you so curious about what will happen next. The mysterious creature keeps walking just in the right moments.
For a bit different experience, I recommend to play this adventure without the music pack installed. The silence is even more scary than the background music.

There are three endings. One where Kos escapes, one where you stop Kos's ritual, and one where you make the potion.dig 222 wrote:Finished. I'm pretty sure I got the bad ending so I'm going to retry.
Does Kos not escape if you make the potion you were told to?
I'm warning you: It's impossible to make the potion unless you collected all the ingredients from before you get locked up in the jail cell.

Thanks for the feedback!
Mysterious creatureS. Have you worked out what they are, yet?It isn't very scary, but it has that magic thing that makes you so curious about what will happen next. The mysterious creature keeps walking just in the right moments.
That's a good idea. I tried to only add music in only the most peaceful of areas, but the silence might help move things along. For a bit different experience, I recommend to play this adventure without the music pack installed. The silence is even more scary than the background music.
Yes, those creatures did spawn the legend of the Gatherers, but do you know where they came from? There's a perfectly logical (but still very nasty) explanation you can piece together.dig 222 wrote:Are those creepy red things the Gatherers that were mentioned?
Go right ahead.Qloof234 wrote:"Amnesia"

oh my god i have to try this

Well, I've only made a small amount of progress into this so far (in the library, trying to work out what the deal with the torch is/how to get into the cellar). A few thoughts.
First off, 41 levels... With my current project I've only just hit 25. I take my hat off to you, sir, that's impressive.
Second off, I'm getting the feeling the TNT-barrel-fountain things are for refilling lamp oil... Is that correct?

Torch? I don't recall a torch ever being important.Qloof234 wrote:Well, I've only made a small amount of progress into this so far (in the library, trying to work out what the deal with the torch is/how to get into the cellar).
There's a room in the library that you can't access. Try to find a way in. Walk into every nook and cranny.

WHY THANK YOU.Qloof234 wrote:First off, 41 levels... With my current project I've only just hit 25. I take my hat off to you, sir, that's impressive.
In fact, this adventure is (as far as I know) the largest adventure ever released, with a filesize of 9.5MB.
It's a flashback, you don't need to light the torch.Qloof234 wrote:The torch (fence-post) thing in the top-left room of the library. When I walk in there, I get "Kos: Light that torch. Good."
Thing is, I don't know how to - I don't have anything except the lamp at this point. I'm guessing I shouldn't be here yet?
It's not important, though. Just start searching for a way into the room to the south.
EDIT: I just checked the adventure, and it seems to be working OK. Are you sure that's all the dialogue says?
Oh good, that's about where I'm up to. So I'm not that far away from the end.yot yot5 wrote:You're about 2/3 done... Thanks for the feedback!dig 222 wrote:So far I'm up to the sewers.
This adventure WAS actually pretty scary at some points. It was very well made, nothing was at all predictable so I had to save every 5 seconds, terrified I would be attacked by a fireball, killed by a void, get chased by a mangled chomper or an invisible one.
I know where you got the custom icons from.
Not that I don't like the adventure and want to finish it ASAP, but I want to see how it ends.

Ah, right! Didn't realise that.yot yot5 wrote:OH RIGHT.Qloof234 wrote:No, that's not all of it, but that's the first line. Didn't realize it was supposed to be a flashback, oops.
Whenever you see the "Your head starts spinning" dialogue, you're about to see a flashback.
If you bothered to copy and paste this signature, or zoom in, to make it possible to read, then I wasted 5-10 seconds of your life.
Possibly. The 2nd Amnesia game, A Machine for Pigs, concentrates of scaring us with a story rather than the gameplay. It wasn't a very good game, horror-speaking, but it might work better as a Wonderland Adventure. It won't be released for a veeeeeeeeery long time, though.dig 222 wrote:Will there be a sequel at some point?
Made with the POTZ editor, of course.
(The first Amnesia adventure took me about 5 months to make)
I recently replayed this adventure with AlphaSpaceWombat, and I noticed several errors that somehow passed under my radar when I tested the adventure. Because of this, I've just released version 1.5, which fixes the following little problems:
---
The oil barrel in the Archives now works properly.
You can see the oil barrel in the Cistern Entrance from the 2nd floor.
The voids in the sewers don't vanish after you refill your oil.
Kos says "Die" instead of "Fie" in one of the dialogues.
In the final fight, you say "I have to kill you" instead of "I'm have to kill you".

Re: 26th Adventure: Amnesia
Okay so like imagine this but in WA3. Like invisible water chompers as Kaernks for instance (could have a floor with constant water level but varying depth heights to simulate jumping on and off boxes for the chomper).
Ahem: yes, I started playing Amnesia hence why I remember this level 9 years later. It was a very good eye in to the game and perhaps preferable to the game itself lol

Not really around much these years.
