New Level (Adv) If I Were A Pirate *

Post by Mark » Sat Aug 23, 2014 3:37 am

I've been thinking about Liz today and missing her.
So I made this tribute in honor of her Pirate series.

This level uses her warm "Desert Island" texture.
Get the treasure & rescue the wench, me hearty! MARK317

The mystery was revealed step by step, all in order, a bit like a Kiki level.

Thanks, Mark!

It took me a great deal of time to decipher what went where and who was responsible for what. Eventually our heroes exited with gold but the pink button was not covered by the directions given in the level. I couldn't see how to make that happen. :(

Still lots of fun to play, thanks Mark. :D

Hi Bob,
I should have known that swapping the two gates last minute would change things.
I just reverted the level back to the original version that I used in my video solution.
I applaud you for discovering a creative alternative path to swap the box and goob!

Hey Mark,

I'm struggling with this one. Is this correct for the beginning?
the two metal boxes fill the water hole so the boomer can travel over the red timer?

the yellow sphere on the white button?

Ok, then...here is what I think needs to happen next, but I can't get it to work.
I save one box to tramp over and kill the boomer?

That happens later, Anne. Your next step is...
Place two boxes in the water below the white button. Trigger the generator to save Qookie. Put your last box on the aqua button.

Hi Mark
The two wannabe pirates found each other and sailed away. :D
A wonderful tribute to Liz! Thanks.

Thanks so much for creating this level for me Mark!

I can see it's full of your usual intricate plotting and seemingly impossible situations.

After a lot of tries Qookie is free and I can see that I'll need her to help Loof cover the green button, but how to do that with the flame in the way? And if I extinguish the flame, Qookie can't get past the boulder.

And how to get the coin in the pink cube? Yet another enigma.

It's great to be back Mark. Thank you my friend.

:D

Q

Post by annedanner » Mon Aug 25, 2014 2:51 pm

Thanks, Mark. I'm having a "duh" moment. Question:
Which two boxes go in the water below the white button. I tried this, but could only save one box.

Anne, about the boxes: Hopefully you took the coin near the cannon first, the rest should be easy.

Well...I just CANNOT figure out how to blow up the boxes leaving only two. This one, I feel sure, I'm going to need to roll my eyes once someone tells me how to do it. I've been maneuvering that reflector every which way but do not know how to kill two boxes only in that line of four.

Box #3 All the way Up

Finally made it! Such a fun level! I did need a peek at the video but as always, that certainly doesn't take away any of the fun for me!! Tricky moves with the Boomer, for sure :D
