Didn't submit your level in time? Just upload it as a reply to this topic. No one will mind!
---------------------
Remember my previous level design challenge? Well, 8 months later, I've got a new one!
The challenge:
- Create a troll level (see below for definition) in the Return to Wonderland editor
- Send it to me as a private message on or before 13 Jan 2017
- On 16 Jan 2017, I will post all the troll levels here for everyone to not enjoy!
Rules and guidelines:
- It must be possible to complete the level!
- It must be possible to earn a gold star from the level (i.e. collect all bonus coins and finish)
- It can be any size, use any number of Stinkers, and have any number of rainbow coins, bonus points, and clocks.
- You may submit as many troll levels as you like!
- You may upload video solutions if you can and if you want to. If you can't or don't, that's not a problem.
Custom content/hex/mods:
- You may use custom textures, backgrounds, houses and models if you wish. In your private message, either link to the forum topic,
- You may use hex-editing if you want to, so long as it will not crash the game
- You may not use a modded version of Return to Wonderland in any way. Use an unmodified copy to create and test the levels.
If you want, you may post small spoilers/previews/screenshots/descriptions as a reply before the levels are released. You may post whatever you want once the levels arereleased. Of course, if you have any questions, go ahead and ask away!
What is a troll level?
The purpose of a troll level is to be really annoying to play, and so you should use game elements that are really annoying to deal with. Or, a troll level can have things where you think that you've completed it, but then you get killed or blocked off at the last second. Here's some examples of annoying things to start you off and to spur your imagination:
- Fake wall maze / Invisible wall maze / Both
- Coilys

- Electricity / Spikes / Both
- 3D view
Of course, feel free to use those ideas, but I hope that you will use your imagination to come up with even better trolls of your own by combining many editor tiles. I will of course be submitting my own troll level as well.
If you feel like watching a YouTube video, you can see an example of a troll level, except made in Super Mario Maker, not Return to Wonderland. Still, I'm sure you get the idea!
Have fun trolling your fellow players!
