Idea- Make a level

Post by janetgalle » Fri Jun 10, 2005 10:44 pm

Hi all,
I have a suggestion.
You see, I have this neat model of a giant spider web, and this other neat model of a giant spider........and no idea what to do with them.
So..........I am posting these two models, and an unfinished level. (14x14)
Any of you creative types want to pick up the ball and make a playable level out of this?
I think it would be interesting to see how many different kinds of levels you can come up with. Change the style, move the spider, add characters, whatever.
Any one up for it?
jg

EXCELLENT models JG - how could I resist!

It's not a very mind-boggling level because I am in a hurry today - we are just off to our local Carnival with the boys

Enjoy

I'm certainly going to have a go JG - but I'm rather slower at designing levels than our Lil, so give me a few days ...

Fabulous models JG, if not a bit scary :o :o

Here's my contribution - please download Janet's webm.zip if you haven't already.

It's called "Feed The Spiders"

Hey Kazza, I fed the spiders and they are happy now. I'm glad they are happy cause they are mighty mean looking. Very clever level! I really enjoyed it!

Great fun, Thanks! :D

A very "Roger" level :P :P Calm, quiet and relaxed. I used my logic head for a change and got through your web. I liked the spider sitting on the giant mushrooms - spooky!!!!!

I got the eggs, I got the eggs! No more spiders! At first, they chased me around in a circle, but they got too brave for their own good. Very clever level, Lillie! I really enjoyed it!

Great fun, Thanks! :D

That is one big spider, Roger! I decided to stay out of it's way. Once I was able to get my boxes in order, I grabbed all the coins and left it to it's lair!

Great fun, Thanks! :D

Weblogic ... nice one Roger, very artistic how Boris was nestled on the mushroom tops. This one had me flummoxed for a while til the penny dropped
Neat puzzle where obvious is not always best.

Thanks

Kazza :) :)

Oh LILLIAN - this one took me a long time - I knew what to do - but getting rid of the kabooms, well, maybe I did it wrong, but I HAD to get rid of them first. And I had to keep on starting over because, dummy that I am, kept screwing up! After that - not too bad. But those UGLY spikers - YUK!! HA HA HA HA I had lots of fun playing this one! Thanks Lillian! :D

Kazza - OMG! Those big ugly spiders hanging over my head! OH YUKKA! Yours took me a loooooooooooooooong time to figure out - the bugs overhead distracting me did NOT help! But when I finally got it - WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I DID IT and it was very satisfying - now, if I could just figure out a way to blow up the insects................................

Roger - great puzzle as usual! This took me a few tries to figure it all out! Yours are always fun! Thanks for the fun!

I'm saving all of these for Halloween! Aren't we going to have fun with THESE models when October is here!!!

Fantastic levels all the three, and a beautiful pattern from Janet :)

Finished Lillian's and Roger's, still stuck on Kazza's. Maybe need a little help  Is it wrong to push a steel-box into the Z-bot's room?

Hi All
Sorry I haven't had a chance to play anyone's levels yet. My little white BichonX was seriously attacked by a Bull Mastiff on Saturday and had to be operated on at the vet's. We've all been a bit traumatised, but she's going to be OK.

So here's my contribution to the Spider theme. Thanks JG for the fabulous web and spider models.

Liz :D :D

Oh Lizzie - I am so sorry to hear that - that is awful

Thank goodness she is going to be OK - you must have been so upset and worried. Pets are like members of the family - big kiss for doggie X and a kick up the #%s@ for the other one

Thanks Lillie, Misty is now recovering and everyone is thoroughly spoiling her.

I have just managed to complete your Spider level. That was such fun. Blew myself up hundreds of times pushing barrels into invisible walls, but eventually worked out the right way to do it. Marvellous fun. I don't know how you and Kaz think of these wonderful levels so quickly.

Hey Lizzie - sorry about the invisible walls - I didn't put them in - they are dead model squares

Thanks to all for your nice comments :P

Roger - I've just managed to complete your Weblogic. Very logical - once you discover the correct way to do it. I was going about it completely the wrong way for quite a while. The spider looked really dramatic on the red mushroom. Great use of the spooky environment.

Kazza - I'm completely stuck on Feed the Spiders. Can get the box generator going, but have no idea what to do with the z-bot room!

Kaz just finished your level, thanks to the hint  .

Really good fun. Well planned and totally different. Had to be very speedy with the z-bot bit, but after a couple of trial runs I did it!

woohoo!

Post by nascarjunkie » Mon Jun 13, 2005 7:24 pm

I learned to use models, have spiders and a web and a spooky forest, to boot. Plenty of challenges to overcome, but doable if you proceed in the right order. Plus, it's a Harry Potter level too!!

Have fun!

Nas :-)
