WAHOO!!!!!!

After, like, a hundred years, I finally did it! That was really, really hard. But also really, really fun. I didn’t get all of the jokes, but it was still really funny too. My favorite part was when I had to make the steak for Jamoff, but that’s a hard one to decide because it’s all so good. I also liked the puzzle with the magic inside Mr. Zurkon’s house, but I had to look at the solution for that (and then I had to start the whole level over because I had already saved my game after I did part of it wrong). But it was all so good! I even managed to get all the gems (Jutomi I can tell you where they are if you want). What an amazing level.

Now, I need a nap.

Oh my gawsh! Great, fantastic job

Yes, I'd love to know where all of the gems are...  Feel free to dm me or post them here in white text like so. :D

I admit, I'd actually been contemplating running through these again and updating my video solutions - or at least supplementing my existing "playthrough" with a solution guide. I didn't know editing back then either, so what I have posted is more reflective of my journey than a 100% guide, and I'd love to have the chance of doing it over 100%'d... though I think I'll be waiting until after I finish posting Coup Collab and a few other shorter series, and goodness knows how long that'll take me.

Heh, you were there too. I caught you trying to break into a certain someone's vault to get some food.

It would be so cool if you made another video about it. Thankfully, after my last screw-up, I learned to have lots of save slots at different parts of the level, so I was able to find where the gems were without too much trouble (only took like a week ). There are 101. Here they are, in white text like you said.

Part 1: Herb Rooms (9 gems)

-2 in the herb place with the spikeyballs
-7 in the dark ghost herb place

Part 2: Jamiff (6 gems)

-3 outside MNIK’s house
-3 outside the chomper farmer’s house

Part 3: Slip (12 gems)

-12 in the fish chase turtle area

Part 4: Preeta (17 gems)

-12 on the right outside
-5 outside on the left of the building

Part 5: Mr. Zurkon (16 gems)

-16 in Mr. Zurkon’s house

Part 6: Professor Terby (9 gems)

-9 in the dark Blink area

Part 7: Carnifex (9 gems)

-6 in the cave outside the lair
-3 underground

Part 8: My Arm (5 gems)

-5 behind the merchant

Part 9: Peegue (18 gems)

-18 in the MNIK/crab area

Had the fun opportunity to replay this while streaming on discord. It's nice to see how much level design has changed over the course of time and what people tend to enjoy more in a puzzle compared to then.

With that said, I believe that several parts of this adventure has aged quite well, while others did not. I think the prologue was cool but the ghost maze was annoying to play around. Chapter 1 definitely had some gooooooood puzzles and I'm guessing people had a hard time figuring out how to beat them since we were still fresh out of POTZ at the time. Chapter 2's graph theory puzzle was fantastic (and this is coming from a person who is fatigued from graph theory puzzles when I replayed POTZ), the same cannot be said for the rest of the chase to get the trout. Chapter 3 was uh, weird and inconsistent but nothing that would make it unplayable. Chapter 4 pays homage to WAE1's era of level designs hence I can see if some "annoying" parts are intended to be cumbersome. Chapter 5's first half is good but the second half is probably unplayable now due to how awful the darkness is designed in WA, I had people asking me over and over to just use CMD 6 to light up the room and just continue because it was already atrocious in design. Chapter 7 is... Yeah... Chapter 8 is still one of my favorites despite the difficulty curve dropping down, I feel like Carnifex Lair should have been the last chapter due to the sheer insanity of the zbot puzzle, but for the sake of the story it would be more suitable to save Peegue for last. Chapter 9's hell-hound chomper puzzle is still amazing albeit I can tell at this point you've exhausted yourself from making quality-based puzzles and have also run out of innovative ideas, which is understandable given the scope of the project. Finally, the finale! I think the battle is cool, but somewhat underwhelming because a lot of boss designs follow the same formula (dude shoots pow, there's an ice wall, chompers, more fireballs, etc.)
I genuinely wish that for the ending we get the chance to talk to the NPCs after finishing the quest but it looks like you probably just wanted to publish the adventure at that point, which I do not blame you at all.

Overall, I still believe that Recipe for Disaster is still going strong and it was nice to give it another go in front of an audience, thanks again for the fun, Yot Yot. Good luck on whatever you are doing! :)
