I'm sorry to say that our mate Poops isn't very well, she can't come onto the forum just now but hopes to see us soon.
I'm not at liberty to give any details but will let everyone know how she's progressing.
I know you will all join me in wishing her the best and to make a full recovery.
Lots of love Poopascoopa, keep your chin up. xxx

LoVe YaLL BuNcHeS!
I only came on here to see what has been going on, and the first thing I see is get well wishes from you all. What a nice surprise. Thanks everyone.
As you may know, I have rheumatoid arthritis, and it now appears I may be getting side effects from the drugs I'm on. My arthritis is better than it's been in a long time, but the drugs are making me feel ill.
I found out today that they want me to go into hospital next week so that they can sort me out, and try me on some new treatment.
With a bit of luck I'll be feeling better by the time the convention comes round. I don't want to miss seeing you all.
Thanks again.

Ho Poopsi I've only just seen this thread. I'm so sorry to hear the news.
The new pain killers that you have to take these days can sometimes do more harm than good. I do hope they get something sorted out for you and that you'll be feeling fine again, and all ready for another trip to N.I.
Poor ole Aunty Mo's going to need your support when all theses hordes of people - strangers, no less - descend on her, demanding all sorts of unimaginable things. "Where's my king size bed? and do you do vegan midnight snacks and breakfast? And I'm allergic to all evidence of Plaids and Tartans so you'll have to remove those very visible Wickers you've got on. And where's the loo? Can you arrange a sight seeing trip right now and what time is the next flight out of here" I can just hear it. You'd better be there to join in all the fun
Keep us posted as to how you are, or have MADWD fill us in.
Keep your chin up, with a stiff upper lip, and gung ho and down the hatch.
We're all thinking of you.

Just to let everyone know, I was talking to Poops on the phone a few minutes ago.
She's feeling dreadful with a fluctuating temp, dry cough, headaches and swollen joints. Poor Poops, hopefully when she goes into hospital next week they will get it all sorted and she'll be back to her dopey self.
I'll keep you informed of her progress so watch this space.
Pauline asked me to send you all her thanks btw.
Hurry back Poops, I miss you. x

Hello folks,
I'm feeling a lot better now but haven't had my medication sorted yet, there are no beds available. Might be next week now, or even the week after that. All I can do is wait. I think I had an infection of some sort but who knows.
Thanks for all the good wishes and kind thoughts. Special thanks to Ann for the ecard, and Mo for worrying so much. It's good to have friends ain't it?

Hi Poopsie - wonderful to see you back. Things haven't actually been "quiet" around here,
but we have missed you
Sorry to hear they haven't got you taken care yet, but you are aware, I hope, that if a hospital bed
coincides with your 2nd trip to N.I., scrubbing Auntie Mo's floors must be your first prority.
They made you wait - they, in turn can wait for you

but we have missed you

Sorry to hear you are still in the holding pattern.
Must be a lot of sick folks there Or a very small hospital.
Try to keep a stiff upper lip.(very unconfortable to do)
Best and warmess wishes from the other side of the pond

It's quite a large hospital but the rheumatology wards don't have many beds, and usually people are there for quite a long time so they have no way of knowing when one will come free. I just have to be ready to go when they call.
What's getting me mad is that I could have gone in last Friday but all they would have done over the weekend was monitor me, and I didn't want to be there without them doing something so I turned it down. Although I was feeling ill I would rather have been at home than lying in a hospital bed staring at the ceiling. Now I wish I had gone in cos at least I would have been there now for them to start doing something. But we can all be clever with hindsight can't we.
I just hope they get me in and out again before the convention. I can't afford to say no this time, or I could be waiting for months.

Glad to hear your doing a little better
, I know you must be suffering pretty bad if the Dr.'s think you need a trip to the hospital.
I hope they have your med's & whatever else is going on sorted out soon. After all you do have a convention to attend and I'm sure you'll all be dancing some sort of jig.
