not ignoring ... just lost???

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to drop in and say, I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up with everyone lately

Emily started kindergarten last Thur.

it was a nighmare come true, the school lost my child after school

To make a loooonngg story short
I found her rather quickly, she was not the least bit traumatized, but I sure was. Alas I did survive.

I haven't figured out quite what to do with myself yet, so I've just been going to work after I drop Emily off. Today is the 1st day I've come home to an empty house & I'm not so sure I like it.... I think I'll get a dog

I asked Emily if Qookie could stay home with me so I wouldn't be alone, but apparently Qookie is off to some Dr. that's giving her A LOT of shots so she can come to school with Emily.....
maybe I'll get 2 dogs

I see everyone made it home from the convention & it sounds like you all had a fantastic time

. I'm sorry I missed such a wonderful time, maybe next year. I'm glad your all home safe

, Watch out this place gets in your blood, pretty soon you'll be sitting amoung piles of laundry, dishes, floors that need to be Hoovered ... & none of it will matter, because you'll have wonderland

Shorty, I hope you find a job soon, I hate looking, I hate interviews, & I usually hate working after awhile

It's to bad you can't make money making wonderland levels (I think Patrick got that job

)

Well, I think I'm off to the animal shelter...... maybe 2 dogs & a cat

You poor girl. I have been there over and over.
It's not easy for you to give up your child to strangers.(teachers)

It's just a hard on Emily too. But this two shall past. Before you know it.
she will be getting married.

Laura, all of us who have children will know exactly what you're facing. I had the same problem when my two started, but after I got used to it, I started looking forward to the time alone when I could do things without interference. It also makes birthdays and Christmas easier to shop for.

Hey Laura - sorry you've been feeling down. I can't imagine what you must have been going through when they lost Emily - OMG!!!!! Glad she is safe and sound.

But take my word for it - you will soon really enjoy the time you get on your own - I certainly do

Thanks ladies I really appreciate your understanding & support

It's funny I was anxious, but also looking forward to some time for myself, now that it's here I don't want it

I know I'll adjust, I'll probably HAVE to buy RTWD now, for two reasons
1. I have the time to play & 2. I'm getting NOWHERE with stinkers rescue, in fact I've given up for now.

P.S. Sharon I've all but forgotten what it's like to shop by myself

I think I'll give that a go tomarrow

P.S.S. Cathy your right, Emily isn't use to all the rules, in fact the 1st day she came home & said she wanted to go back to her old daycare where all the toys were because this school doesn't have very many toys.

OBTW we now have a gold fish named Sam

Sam will not eat as much as 2 dogs and a cat

you don't have to walk and change the cat box.

Have we been reading Dr. Seuss? I believe he has goldfish in several stories and the name Sam seems to appear a lot.

Birds make fairly good pets too. A little clean up and, depending on the breed, some training. I used to have a parakeet that loved to sit on my shoulder when I came home. He was a real little sweetie.
