"This ain't me", she protested, gazing into the mirror. "This
can't be me. Last time I looked, I was young and pretty and slim and gorgeous and blonde and vibrant and
definitely not like this

".
"This is an imposter", she screamed, throwing the mirror against the wall, and as the shards of glass fell tinkling to the ground, she also fell, crumpled, protesting and defeated. Her life, as she imagined it, was now over. Her secret was out. Despair and humuliation over took her. She wondered if she would ever have the courage to enter through the gates of Wonderland again.
"Wonderland?" she thought, struggling to gain a sitting position. "Maybe there
is a reason to continue. Maybe I
can go on. My friends, they'll help me. Surely
they'll tell me I'm beautiful."
She stood, swept the fragments of her lying, deceitful mirror under the carpet, donned her purple hat and set out once again for Wonderland. "I'll show them," she was heard to mutter as she rummaged through her capious, purple handbag. "I've got my Picture-Me contest photo in here somewhere.
That's the real me.
I'll show them".
