Thanks for the reminder Cathy. I loathe the end of Day Lights Savings Time, depresses me when it's dark at 5:00. :(

We have to change our clocks in the UK as well. 2am - 30 Oct.

I hate the dark mornings after that. I wish it could be left on BST (British Summer Time) all year.

Trust me I won't forget because I work that night, so a ten hour shift becomes 11 :(

Bummer Michelle  I hope you at least get extra pay

In Denmark we have to adjust the clocks as well. This spring we almost forgot to to turn the clocks an hour forward  It was only by a lucky coincidence late Sunday evening that we realized our mistake. Bjarne would have been late for work Moday morning if we hadn't caught it

We did that one year Mette, forgot to set the clocks (forget which season though) so my husband was either early or late

But now it shouldn't be a problem- Since my children have gotten older over the years, they only remember what they want too  And for some stupid reason, that's one of them

I always knew the British are a bit strange (driving on the wrong side of the road and such things  ).

But the sun still behaves like in continental Europe, so the sun rises earlier in the mornings and it'll be dark more early in the evenings compared to summer time

Lutzy, you drive on the right side of the road whereas we drive in the right side of the car. Therefore if two wrongs don't make a right, two rights can't make a wrong. :P

It's alright folks, I'm still alive and kicking.

Ok, who actually forgot to set their clocks back last night?
I'll be the first to admit, I'm the first  We were going to walmart to get costumes at 11:05 am and I was thinking about what time it would be dark tomorrow to go trick or treating, when I realized we didn't do the clocks and that it was actually 10:05.
Needless to say, my husband wasn't pleased to realize he had gotten up at 6:30 am

Lisa, that's sooooooo funny  Even the "kids-fail-safe" mechanism failed

This morning when the kids woke us up, Bjarne looked at the clock and realized the kids decided to be hungry at 7.30 AM. Then it dawned on him that we didn't set the clocks before we went to bed. The conversation went as follows:
Kids: We're hungry. Can we watch Cartoon Network?
Bjarne: Argh....it's only 7.30 AM. Oh no.... did you set the clocks last night?
Mette: No...
Bjarne: Does that mean that it's only.....
Mette: Yes....
Bjarne:

I couldn't figure out why my kids were waking me up at 10:30 am when they ALWAYS sleep until 11:30.

Yes, that's right folks, my 4 year old and my 1 year old allow me to sleep in until 11:30 am every day. They, along with my hubby and I, are late risers.

They even take a 2 hour nap in the afternoons.... well, "afternoon" means 5:00pm for us since breakfast is at noon and lunch is at 4:30 and supper rolls in around 8:00pm... of course, bedtime isn't until 11:00 pm, then. But Since I play wonderland from midnight to 4 am, it's not sweat off my brow!

Ah, the good life.

My son starts school next year. What am I going to do?????
