A Huge Thank You

Post by Jacks13 » Wed Nov 02, 2005 6:28 pm

I would just like to give a huge thank you to all the level makers, one and all.
When I first purchased Secret Worlds and got hooked, then HAD to buy RTWD, little did I know that it would be the best money I ever spent.
I really admire all of you who give of your own time to bring so much pleasure to others. Also, hints and spoilers for the likes of myself... are really useful. Keep up the great work, I don't know what I would do without this game.
Again, a HUGE thank you from me... :D :D :D

I agree. I just finished all the custom made kids levels over the weekend and have now started on the deluxe worlds and tried some of the other custom levels. Every time I get stumped I come to the boards and do a search. I end up skipping around and reading some of the posts, You guys really crack me up with some of your posts, some of them are hilarious. Everyone is so helpful. Thanx

I'll add to the other messages and agree with them. a huge thanks for those who made the custom levels. Some are harder than my brain will allow at the moment (too little sleep!) but the kids levels are definitely fun! Keep up the good work and as soon as I try my hand at making some levels, I'll let you know.

Thanks to all!

I, too, would like to SHOUT my appreciation for all the wonderful custom level makers.

I've completed WL, WSW, & RTWD Classic and Deluxe. I am working my way through the Custom\ByUser levels and I am just amazed at the quality. I want to get to the Small World levels I've been reading about and also some of the more recent level additions. The threads I've been reading about many of the new levels sound intrigueing.

One day I hope to try the editor and make a small level, too. It's kind of intimidating to see detail and quality displayed in levels by "non-programmers". Boy, I hope that's right. Maybe some of you are professionals when it comes to programs and computers.

Oh, well. I just know I enjoy playing! So, from me to all level makers
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

:D :D :D Dee I just want to say that I am not a programmer and I wouldn't say that I'm computer whiz, In fact far from it, All you need is an understanding of how the game is played and what the function of all the Items are and what the baddies do, Just get in there (Editor) and experiment, You never know you might have a knack for it. BTW Thank you all for your compliments I and I'm sure all other level maker appreciate them. :D :D :D

Also, when I started making levels, I made a couple kids levels. Kids levels can be really, really easy and even somewhat, "Oh duh!" and kids still like them. :D

My 4 year old never gets tired of pushing boxes into water or stepping on buttons. He REALLY liks to see baddies get blown up without the danger of getting killed himself. On the other hand, I've seen him play a level where he just stood in front of a UFO over and over and watched himself blow up and twiril in the air and he laughed for ages because he thought it was sooo cool.

You can do it! I know you can!

Seems kids are much more smarter and learn faster than we did when we were that age. My grandson is 2 1/2 and he's so smart, always learning. They love a challenge. Years ago when we got our 1st playstation I learned by watching my own kids. I've still got mine and about a dozen games but I bet I haven't touched it in over a year but I still won't part with it. I'm to addicted to my pc and just love games like this, helps keep my mind sharp (yea right) I go to sleep solving levels in my head.

Thanks for the encouragement. When I get caught up on the levels I will give the editor a go with a kids level. I'm sure I could get my granddaughter to help. Kids are so smart and have so may ideas. I'm looking forward to the fun.
