New Level - Boulder Race

Post by SharonM » Fri May 07, 2004 1:39 am

Hi all,
This is a rather simple level once you figure it out. Just thought it might be fun. Let me know what you think. :D

Welllll.... after getting killed by ol gramma's mean dogs, a few times...  ... I found and figured out what the hidden boxes were for... And I managed to .. get thru this by the hair on my chinny chin chin.... At first I tired to figure out a way to get the metal boxes into the water...  ... but alas that did not work... Neat level, sharon... I enjoyed it very much...  ...

Glad you both liked it.:D I didn't know if it was dumb or not. Like I said, it's fairly simple once you catch onto the secret.
Carolyn, the metal boxes are there to control the boulders, so you can't move them. I don't think anyone will find a shortcut in this one, but they might. It would be interesting to hear if they do.:);)

Just remember,M.A.D., I tend to like to use secrets in my levels. (A very vague hint)

Hi SharonM, I'm trying to catch up with the latest levels posted and haven't gotten to this before now....

It looks very simpel at first, but in fact, it's very tricky and certantly not dumb at all!!!!

I'm still trying to figure it out, but I have problems controlling the dogs  I found your hidden box by accident, but I still dont know what to do wit it

I'll keep trying - it's a great level :D

Bina,
If you're quick enough about it, you can use the boxes to block off the chompers before they get to the hole in the wall. That way you don't have to worry about them following you into the next section. Hope that helps. :D

Took a few tries but I got it. Didn't have to use any boxes. Only found one once my mistake but I than I forgot about it anyway. Oh well, I made it.

Jen
PS - Oh yeah it was fun :-)

Glad I could help Bina! I know that it could be a little tricky without those boxes. :D

I'm glad you liked it, Jen. You could do it either way, but I dislike leaving my rear exposed to bites, so I put the boxes there for peace of mind.

This level just popped into my mind while I was working on the Zork maze. I had to stop working on the maze, to write it down so I wouldn't forget it. Then I had to work out the details after I finished the maze. I was in a creative mood then!

It has taken me all this time, finally got it!

Thanks Sharon, I think!

Really good level, Sharon! Very creative! Boy, those dogs jumped out when I least expected it and bite me more than once. Finally, I was able to outrun them - Whew!

Thanks for the good time and game play! :D
