A note for all my fellow wonderlanders!

Post by wonderlandlover » Mon May 29, 2006 7:50 pm

Beware: the following message is very sappy, (so Bear, if you still read the Wonderland forum, don't read this! )!

I just wanted to express my appreciation to all the active members of this board. I have downloaded many games, but this one beats all, and in my opinion, it is only because of this forum, and the ability for every day ordinary people to create levels.

In the past, some have complained that some people's levels were too hard, and it took the fun away, but there are always going to be members like me, who thrive on the challenges. Yet, easier levels are always welcome, to give our poor brains a break, and to just enjoy the creativity of individual members. There is nothing I would change about this forum. It is the friendliest place on the net, and I am glad of the day, when I decided I would just bite the bullet, pay the price, and download this game!

And you see, the best part about this forum? I now know the reason why I am not such a creative person! It's because all of you got a bigger piece of the pie, so to speak!

Ok, enough said!

Thank you for posting! :D

Speaking for myself, I enjoy creating feats of magic.
It's my way of entertaining people in their homes
without ever leaving my computer.

They're not everyone's cup of tea.
But if levels were all easy (or challenging), there would be no variety.
What I love most about this forum, is that each level-maker has there
own individual style, that is unique as a fingerprint.
This means there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Patrick has created a game that can be simple or challenging,
small or large, puzzle or arcade... or both.

Wonderlandlover, it's been a pleasure creating levels for you -
and all the other Wonderland Lovers!

Wow !! you're right Wonderlandlover that was pretty sappy :D :D
But it's caused me to post a reply & I haven't posted in months.

You're right this board is very unique & has been a lot of fun. Not only have I become completely & totally addicted to this game but in the process I've made friends from all over the world. I doubt there are many other places like Wonderland on the net, I am one member that is truley glad I stumbled across this game & the forum.

I have just started downloading the custom levels, almost exclusively the kids levels for Emily to play, but I have to admit I enjoy some of them too. :D :D

I completely agree with you, Mark and Wonderlandlover!

Every Designer has his own style, like Mark likes to do magic tricks, or kaz, who likes to create 14*14-brainteasers. And not only that; with this Off-Topic part you can also see what the members are in real life. And that's what makes this board to a great place, where everybody should like to be.

About the levels: Yes there are some people who don't like too difficult levels, and that's the reason why I try to create different kinds of levels. Some are really difficult and big puzzles, some are many small but sweet puzzles in a row, some are really easy ones to relax, some are magic tricks like Mark likes to do, and some were just bad (like my level "Dark Paths"; now I'm quite sure it's not fun at all). I guess I can't create a level which everyone likes. I'm just not creative enough.

Anyway, I guess I'm not so good in taking speeches, so just read the other posts! :D

you can say that again!

i've seen the (very) occasional disagreement here and it is just that. on most forums a disagreement turns into a quarrel which then turns into an all out bitchfest!

ok, so this is a fairly quiet forum as discussion forums go because it is primarily a game forum, but it is still a forum where people can talk. i don't want to sound as sappy as wonderlandlover did :P :P but i think the friendliness of this forum is actually something to do with the game itself, let's face it, it's a feel-good game, all the characters have big beaming smiles and cute personalities and it's always fun to play. we have two computers and while my OH doesn't play and prefers to mainly read discussion forums, she still shouts "oh that is so cute" every time loof shouts "this is tooooo highhhhhhh"

i really do think it's the sort of game that just attracts nice people, and speaking from a personal point of view it's the only game i've ever played that can actually lift my mood if i'm feeling a little down, even when i'm trying levels that make me want to pull my hair out! :D

ok, i'll shut up now...........this really is getting sappy
