Double test glitch

Post by TheoX » Tue May 02, 2006 1:17 am

I have this wierd glitch where, when I make a level and test it,
the score doesn't register until my second completion of the level :!: :!:
This means that if I happen to make a really hard action level, I would have to play it twice to get the score for it! :x
Does anyone else have this glitch and/or know why it happens?
Thanks

PS: No, I am not going to make a really hard action level anytime soon

I think that happens when you test it with the editor still open.

I've had it happen before, editor open. But with the editor open, it does eventually scrore it. 2nd or 3rd try for me.

Remember also that each time you make an adjustment in the editor (even a tiny one) the "ID Stamp" of the level is reset, hence your scores don't count for the "new" version.

Thanks for the help :) , but I never keep the editor open while I test a level,
and it always makes me test the level twice to get a score
Oh well, it's not really that big of a deal

Theo - it happens to me too, even when I have closed the Editor. What I always do is, save and close the Editor once you are happy with the level. Then open another level just for a second as if you are going to play it, close it and then open your own level and your score should then register! A tad annoying, but it does work that way. :D

Actually Patrick, if you are still reading this thread. Another annoying little thing on the Forum is that when you make a post, if you want to edit it, there is quite a long time before it allows you to edit your post. I always get the "you cannont make another post so soon....." thing! Any chance of shortening the post time pleeeeeeeeeze :D

ANOTHER interisting fact is that it stays open whe you close it!
If you're reading this, you've officially finished the actual post and are just reading my pointless sig.

It's a security feature to prevent automatic bots from overflooding the board. I think it's set to 45 seconds right now - it's a bit of a delay, but hopefully not too much of a hassle.

What kind of bots? Z-Bots?

Anyway, this glitch (if it is one  ) happened when I played "oh lovely friday" by eeyore31. I had to collect all the bonus coins once, then do the same again! :?
If Sonic were a tough cookie, What kind of cookie would he be? I'm going with "Snickerdoodle".
