How did I know? You always do a great job

Haven't seen any pics nor read any clues but here's my guesses:

Kiki - that's easy. Don't recognize your place but it must be the pic with the flying horses at the sky

Kazza - must be this poor looking shed in the backyard

Lillie - Won't tell anything because I know your place

Loirae - someone told me she lives in a garage with icicles hanging from the ceiling (hope it's not that worse in summer

)

Ann - this must be the home with the purple roof (and probably the only house with wheels

)

Bob - A log cabin in the Canadian Rockies

Duiveltje - for a Dutch girl the pic with the windmill must be the right choice

Mahaloof - he sure lives on a houseboat

Liz - original British understatement. She just sent us a pic of her small summer residence - a Scottish castle

the cat - another easy one. The cat basket near the fridge

janetgalle - she's an excellent model maker, so her house looks like Qookie's cottage

Salin - she lives in an igloo near the Arctic Circle

Hope I didn't give away too much

Great hints, Lutz, and helpful too. How did you know about Loirae? It's uncanny....

I did some research already and can add a few more hints for everyone who doesn't want to just guess.

Kiki - has a tv that is switched off from time to time.

Liz M. - a front door with a device attached to open it.

Popo - visits the bathroom regularly. Rumours say perhaps more than 3 times a week.

Lillie - has kids who play with toys every 5th day of the month.

laura n - furniture in several parts of the house (I kid you not!)

Duiveltje - according to a police report is living in the Netherlands.

janetgalle - has sent in the answers already, but will regret it soon.

dylan1298 - guessed her own house right away, but forgot to tell us which picture.

Mark - lives in Costa Mesa, but forgot to join the competition.

the cat - likes animals (but then, we all do, so that's not much of a hint).

ann3120 - after the spring cleaning her windows can be looked through in two directions.

bob roest - despite the clothing belongs to the other sex.

See what a bit of investigating can do? I'm gonna win that top spot!

This is kinda frustrating, I can't figure it out. Even all the research I've done today, and still frustrated. Oh well, I bet they will be simple when the answers are posted.

I must agree with you Lisa, this is a bit frustrating... I invoked the help of Hubby last night to assist me picking out the homes that appear to be from "over the pond" as he lived all over Europe before I met him.

I know he was having more fun at it than I was... of course he doesn't care if I win, but I do

(or at least get some of the guess's correct

)

Hm, I don't know if it helps anyone, but here's my method:

I made a list in Word, saying 'House1', 'House 2', etc. Behind every entry I pasted all 18 names (I know my own number, of course). Then I started to play the elimination game. When I think I can pinpoint one I remove the name from all other houses. It may look elaborate, but it helps to keep the oversight. And it's fun to see the number of names slowly dwindling.

..well, just an idea...
