Lillie, believe it or not, Beatrix changed the protocols when she became queen in 1980. People have to say "Your Royal Stiffness" to her. I think president Tush even refers to her as The First Tart.

I'll even go so far as to give you a clue, Duiveltje. The Amsterdam suburb I live in translates into 'Oxvillage' (no kidding). Still houses some 50,000 people. Good luck!

I've spotted Duiveltje already, until I'm totally off. But one of the pics looks so utterly Dutch, it's shocking!

After browsing this forum for a day and a half, looking at old threads and pics and clues, I've changed tactics. I had all pics blown up to about 3 by 5 feet each. Using my best magnifying glass I spotted a half rolled up 'Daily Gulf Shores' through a window, gotcha!
And I found the bald spots in popo's trimmed bush!

Yeah, I'm getting there. But, my dog, the work that goes into this...

On a slightly more serious note, this contest is starting to drive me nuts. I thought my method was good, but now I'm not so sure anymore.

Found a pic of Kiki and wife (very nice) and then thought that the window and outside scenery doesn't match with my choice of contest pic.

Also: why would 2 players have said they spotted Ann's place right away? Didn't see that much purple in any of the pics. Nor does any of the houses wear a hat, unless I missed it. Is it the camper? Or is it that they live near each other? But they don't....

In one of my blown-up pics I did spot a very unique rose, so there's hope.

But really, I've read hundreds of posts today, saw loads of other pics, and now I'm as tired as a wild onion, pooh!

I think I'll play a bit of Brian Wilson music to recover....

I saw the picture of kiki and his wife also and tried to match up the window. I read so many posts and looked at so many pics, took notes, looked at houses in other states and countries just to get a lay of the land that I woke this morning with sore eyeballs, took 2 advil, threw some eyedrops in and tried again, gave up, made my guess's, got a headache and just took 2 tylenol. Ya'all need to start talking more about yourselves and your surrounding areas. Where ya live, what ya do, any hobbies? Never know when the next contest might come around. This was fun though, I can't wait to see how many I got right, at least one I know of anyway.

My hubby Rich had never made anything more than Mac and chesse, but one night he decided to enter a chili contest. And wouldn't you know it, but he won that contest and every contest he's entered the shili in since. Oh, a different pot of chili. Not like he keeps using the same batch. that would be icky.

I, however, am like you. I prefer to eat all the chili and then vote for it, and I'll tell you it's far less work, and far yummier. (until the next day. But that's a whole different topic. )
