Within An Ace

can someone give me some help, i get passed the flames and I turn the corner and i can get in into the recess before being iced but ace cannot reach the yellow button before he`s iced, so im sooo stuck, please help,

That is suppose to happen. You need to find a way to un-ice him.

I can't get into the alcove. My mouse control is rubbish and he only moves after quite a pause. So I have to use the keyboard. I get to one space from the alcove and then I'm iced. I've tried until my fingers are sore, so I'll have to give up on this one for now.

There's a trick to this Lzzie...

Don't go round the corner straight away. Let Ace go and when the fire shoots let it pass you before going round the corner and into the alcove. In fact you don't have to go into the alcove if I remember right. Don't hang about though coz you do get shot at from the left where you came from. As soon as the shot from below goes past go straight round the corner.

EDIT: Made it! After many, many more tries with the end. Excellent help there.

I would add another tip:

Once you've made it past the freezing bit, SAVE THE GAME, then you don't have to start all over again every time you get fried.
