It is called Hot and Cold when you go into it, but saves as Fire and Ice. Cravasse Chase (Crevice Chase) is similar, but more instantly recognisable.
Just finished it without the coins, but will revisit at a later date to work that bit out. Lots of patience, lots of saves, and lots of working out where you can and can't stand. I have the theory, but the practice may be a little tricker to apply!
It was called 'Fire and Ice' during development, but Patrickchanged it to 'Hot and Cold' in the final game. He must have forgotten to change the name of the savefiles.
Spoiler wrote:I solve this by getting a scritter on a button and then using the outmost passage to get him frozen of course remembering to press the button along the way. Repeat all the way around.
Watch out for diagonal shots as they will most likely kill the ice flower!
What scritter do you start with? This is really giving me a headache! Have been playing it on and off for a week The longest I got, was one scritter frozen at a button, but then off course one fireflower un-freezed him again
I started with the first critter you see to the button on his left, and then worked my way around.
Of course, that might be completely wrong if you want all the goodies out of the level also, but having got round in one piece, I wasn't getting too worried about having cake and eating it!
big spoiler wrote:I start with the scritter at the top right and chase him to the button on the right side of the level. Make fireflower shoot top barrel at right side. Press button. Avoid diagonal shots being fired. Use outer barrel path to get scritter frozen on button. Proceed in the same fashion clockwise untill all buttons are pressed and all scrittes frozen on buttons. Note that you can freeze the fireflowers once their work is done.
Experiment to find the "safe" spots e.g. where you can stand without the shots hitting something undesired.
Thank you, Mette, that's exactly how I try to do it. But I can't get 1st scritter frozen Not without the iceflower being destroyd first.
OK, good to know I was on the right path, anyway, and thank you so much for the help

Because you need the iceflower to ice the scritters. But with all this onesteptile, I find it hard
Hi Inger,
If you could pm me with your pic I think I could do something cos now I just don't understand what to do (my brain is beside my clock near my bed, I just forgot it this morning).
This one is totally giving me trouble. Scritters won't go the way they are suppoosed too. Some how I got 2 on the same button. A video walk through would be great. Anybody?
Lisa, know what? I let it go for a day, and tried it yesterday, and waddya know, it worked. Got coins and all.
I have no idea what I did different, though
Remember, you can use the flowerbridge yourself if you're fast with diagonals.

Most times the scritter jumps where it may not go.
One time in a 100 (more or less) it goes like you want
and then it does not go to the button but to your exit
then all things start over: "load game" start again and what does the scritter do? nope, then "load game" or?
