Okay...anyone have a 3DS? I need help.

Okay. The thing froze. Apparently I need to swap SD cards to prevent this, but because of the freeze I can't shut it off. If you remove the SD card while it's still on you risk loosing all your data. It's frozen on the friend list opening screen. Does anyone happen to know if waiting for it to shut off by letting it die a bad idea?
