massive list of URL shorteners

Post by VirtLands »

Hi there, Image

Update;

I had no idea there were so many URL shorteners out there.

HERE from the Go2.me Blog is a massive list of URLs shorteners,
too many to type here:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key ... wE0KHSu-Gw

http://blog.go2.me/2009/01/exhausting-r ... eners.html

http://u.go2.me/ (<---Link shortening and discussion board )
___________________________________________________________

Some great sites for shortening URLs are here:

http://bitly.com/

http://is.gd/ (<-- even tinier than BitLy.Com )

http://ponyurl.com/

http://tinyurl.com/

http://adf.ly/ ( <--- makes you look at a fly. )

http://goo.gl/ (<-- and added Goo.GL, from Sammy_Bro's suggestion)

http://derpy.me/ (<-- shorter URLs, more Derp!, JDL's suggestion)

Usually I use different websites for that kind of stuff.
For example, bitly.com is one I use, and I think it's better in the long run. You can't customize your URLS without registering or something, but it saves your old links and keeps track of them, like how many clicks one of them has gotten.
Also, they're much shorter:

Code: Select all

http://tinyurl.com/7rr9rno
bit.ly/tP4D8B
And sometimes, just for the obvious MLP correlation, http://ponyurl.com/ too.

Also, there's is.gd, which is ever TINIER than bit.ly.

Code: Select all

bit.ly/tP4D8B
is.gd/EUnxiE

I think there is also adf.ly you can make money off of. Also, it isn't great because you gotta look at an ad for 5 seconds, but you can earn $5.00 for 10000 visitors.

Another one of these sites have popped up for the MLP fanbase, and it works very well. You can also see how many clicks its gotten and how many clicks per day.

http://derpy.me/

For example, here's a link to the forum: http://derpy.me/WDLForum
Now, here's a link to the statistics: http://derpy.me/WDLForum+

I just discovered this,

HERE from the Go2.me Blog is a massive list of URLs shorteners,
too many for me to type here:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key ... wE0KHSu-Gw

http://blog.go2.me/2009/01/exhausting-r ... eners.html

http://u.go2.me/ (<---Link shortening and discussion board )

I've noticed that a lot of the URL services listed in
the spreadsheet are extinct, fyi.
