Hidden Safety

Post by Debi » Sun May 01, 2005 7:58 pm

Ahhhh I hate this level. Its so frustrating trying to work out the pathways for loof to go. I can only get through the 2nd teleporter before getting killed off. Is there a way to work out which squares to move along.
I think I get more annoyed at having to start the level from the beginning each time.
Where or what do I do when I have completed all of Secret Worlds - is there any downloads of custom levels for this game - its so addictive for me and my boys. I have to set myself limits on the game (complete a level then do hoovering, complete another level then do washing, etc and my studying for a degreee is taking the backseat) Am still ahead of my boys on the games but they are catching up fast.
Great game and am glad I saved the money up to buy it.

There will be no level editor or custom levels for this game... as far as we know. Unless Patrick has any other plans, there is only a lovely animated Wonderland scene at the end of the game to watch...

...oh! You do qualify for a free 'level designer' prize.

Debi, Welcome to the Wonderland board!

As Bearsland said, Secret Worlds does not have custom levels. However, if you have the game "Return to Wonderland Deluxe", you will be able to access over 2000 custom levels designed by other members of the board. This game also has an editor so that if you wish, you can design custom levels also.

Hope to see you on the board often! :D

Debi --

I also found this level extremely annoying. I hated the idea of trying again, but it was only my determination to get "all gold" that kept me at it. Over time I came to understand a lot of what needs to be done, and it is not anywhere near as bad as it seems at first. Once Loof has gotten through his first area, it is much easier for him. After that, each of the other characters has a challenge for his/her first area, but no sweat after that.

Good luck and hang in there. BTW welcome to the board to you and your sons. As mentioned above, if you don't have RTWD you should get it. In particular, your sons may also have fun designing levels, we have had some very creative levels contributed by younger folks (although for some of us anyone under 50 is young).

Welcome Debi. :D
You're not the first to complain about having to start over at the beginning of a level. I seem to remember we had quite a few discussions about it in the early days (before Return To Wonderland even came out!). I think everyone here has probably had that complaint. Other than that, these are great games and I would encourage you to get them all. The best value by far, though, is Return to Wonderland. With the level editor and all the levels to download, it's definitely the best value I've ever come across in computer gaming. :D I hope we see more of you (and your sons). Just remember you can always come here if you get stuck and the online solutions don't help. Most of us have been in the same boat.

Hi Debi,

It's true... I could give you an advanced Math course  , but I figure you'd rather have some help with 'Hidden Safety'. This is how I did it:

Spoiler (highlight to read)

Each character has to enter a different TP. Before you go through watch the UFO in the area you're about to enter. Wait untill the UFO has just passed the TP you're about to exit. Now you can go through and follow the UFO by watching it carefully, allways waiting for the UFO to turn and then following it's path. When you reach the bonus coins, use these for cover. Wait untill the UFO has moved away, collect the bonus coins and make your way to the smiley on the floor. Now go to the other TP in that area, but do not go through yet. You can stand safe from the UFO's fire behind the TP. Repeat this with all four characters. Now all you have to do is exit.

End spoiler

I hope this helps :D

Oh.... and Welcome to The (Wonder)land of no sleep

:P Thank you for the welcome. Its great in here. I managed to do the level without the spoiler but it took me many attempts to do it. Cant wait till I complete all of it and with so many goodies on offer  I am on stinkies rescue and boy is it hard.
I can do stinkie and loof at the start but I thought I had sussed out how to do peague with the boulders but havent. What do I do as I cant get boulders to the springy thing.
I have had a spin or two or three on the ice with the wooden boxes and get squashed.
Are there any hints to this apart from the online ones cos I am beating my keyboard up each time I get killed which is lots of times
Am going to have to get return to wonderland when I complete this game
Thanks again

I promised not to give hints on this level, but this isn't telling you what to do, but rather what not to do, so...

The boulders are not for destroying the Coily (springy thing).

I think you need to 'reflect' a little more on this area.

Certainly, Madam.

As soon as I have some proof that you have totally completed the game with all Bonus Coins collected and Stinkers saved, I shall have your 'cardie' in the post.

Debi - it's really worth saving up for Return to Wonderland Deluxe. The game itself is brilliant and then with the editor and all the custom levels you won't need to buy another game.

You'll also save so much money - I have! I'm so addicted I don't go out round the shops any more (except for vital food and house supplies).

Please, please Sharon,

I desperately need one too.
Maybe you could put one of Roger's cardies on him for me.
Remember, we had a white Christmas and he may need it.

Thank you all for such a great welcome. It feels like home with you all around.
Well I have managed to sort stinky and loof out at the start and worked out peague for the first part and am playing with reflectors to sort out that horrid wooden box in the other section and getting no where apart from being zapped by the ufo. Where is the conveyer timer located to turn it off as I think I can do it with that turned off - not sure if it can be done that way but my head says it should be able to and the fingers are not sure they can keep up. As for the coloured buttons - I am sure I have tried every combination to get them all through to the back part of the section to help push the box into the water. Do I need another wooden crate in the button area to help out or is it just the 3 characters that do all the work? using all the 15 minutes on trying to work this bit out before I try other bits.
As and when I complete this secret worlds game then I will make sure I buy the return to wonderland. I am sooo addicted to this game now and my boys argue with me as to who is next on the computer - even my 3 year old has mastered the first few levels.
RTW will be great fun in the future as my boys will love the editor side of it - very creative and very mean when it comes to setting challenges so be warned for as and when we get round to finishing this game and being able to afford the next one.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in creating this great game - its so good and addictive that I am finding it hard to fit housework in between playing the games - have told lots of friends about the game and boys keep talking about it - given them all the website address and hope that many more people buy this great game
Take care and I must go now as I have completed 100 levels and am at stinkers rescue getting really annoyed and keep going back to the levels I cant do.
I will get there in the end (I hope  )
