Double postings

Post by jcvalcar2 » Wed Nov 09, 2005 12:12 am

Can anyone tell me why when I post a message it posts twice even though I hit the post button one time. This happened on my old computer but this computer is only a week old and it just happened again. Too soon for virus/adaware/spyware etc. and after last night I want to make certain that I am doing things properly. I still have dial up (modem) is this why this happens? Can't get high speed connection yet.

I am on dial up too. I have never had a double post but I could see how it might be happening to you. Sometimes when I have written my post and I hit the submit button, the screen jumps back to the text in my message. My first thought is did it submit or not? I wait to see what happen and it always follows through with the submit. I get the screen saying click here to do go to the forum or click to do whatever but I never select anything. I just wait and it automatically takes me to my posted reply in the original threat. Then I know it posted right. Sometimes thing are slow and I think may be I didn't submit but so far it has always posted. Don't know if this helps. Being on dial-up makes me impatient a lot but you learn to deal with it cause you have no other options!

Double Posting

Post by jcvalcar2 » Wed Nov 09, 2005 4:10 pm

This happened again while I was posting a new level and when I tried to delete one of the duplicates, my level and models got all messed up. I have noticed a few others have had that happen too, just can't figure out why.

I usually click to return to the forum but I will wait until it returns me to my message and then proceed. I was hoping someone could answer why this was happening, so it wouldn't happen again :? :? :? :?
