New Level - Puzzle 5?

Post by Carolyn » Mon Apr 19, 2004 10:34 pm

Ok... I think this is about my last puzzle level... (for awhile anyway maybe I will go back to the shooting cannons)... Besides, Stinky is getting tired of shoving boxes.... And my grids are taking up to much of my time... haha....  .... Let me know if u use less than the 16 metal boxes, bearsland... I was going for 24... boxes.... but... but.... ran out of ... time...

Come now Carolyn, you knew that in this and the last one there was no way to use less than the given amount of boxes.

The problem, (although it's not really a problem), with the other levels was that there was more than one route to the finish; therefore, possible shortcuts. When there is only one route requiring a fixed number of boxes, in this case 16, there are no shortcuts to be had.

Another nice level. :) I like the box shifting puzzles; they teach one to be cautious.

btw. I finished it first time, but I did have to go back looking for the craftily hidden coins.

Well I played the others:

Carolyn PUZZLESPUZZLES.LEV April 2004
Carolyn PUZZLESPUZZLES2.LEV April 2004
Carolyn PUZZLE3.LEV April 2004

This afternoon when I was adding your levels to my database program, i played em all, and I thought this was the best of em, one of my first posts I made I said I enjoyed getting so far through a level and getting stumped, blocking a box of so it cannot be moved, etc etc. Probably the reason I like box levels is I enjoy sokobon so much. Thx

It has been a great series :!:
Besides, Stinky is getting tired of shoving boxes
I know, look at his poor little white gloves when he raises his hands to push one, they look pretty dirty :P

On my second try, I got the boulder in the right place and got killed by the z-bot

Yes I knew u needed all the boxes in puzzles 4 and 5 ... bears... but I felt like such a fool being fooled by ure short cuts...  .... I think I kind of wanted to get... ummmmm.... even???....  ... Sometimes revenge is so sweet ....  ..

Yes Bizip... I did Sokoban puzzles along time ago too, and loved them... Which gave me the idea about shoving boxes in Wonderland... But on the ones I have made here, what I do is, made a grid... then put boxes in that have to be shoved... I then have to work it several times... to make sure all the boxes can be shoved without Stinky getting trapped... I usually have to make several changes in the grid for poor Stinky... There is, as bears has pointed out, more than one way to get thru them... Since I cannot make them as fool proof as Sokoban did with only only solution.....

I am just glad u all like them... cuz I do like making them and figuring out the or a solution.... and trying to keep it interesting....
