Now that you have released WA is there any plans for upgrades in RTW with the new items? I would love a chance to make some levels with a few of these new items.

Considering the time & effort that has (probably
) gone into the game engine/editor, I'd wager that further development will be done in terms of features, graphics, gameplay etc etc & that at some time a new game/s will be produced whether it be a new Wonderland Adventure or something different (maybe a new world
/new characters
) using the updated engine.
While we'd all like to see a level editor, I'd imagine we'll see further development & games which would be preferable & maybe at some point down the track an editor in some form. Maybe we'll see a few games with progressive development at the $19.95 price ticket, then an editor release at the $35 level (I recall the last one being about that?), a few more games, another editor release etc... that would be nice!
And from a MS perspective, why give the cow away just yet when it's making $?

PS just entering the Forrest area with 68 stars - enjoying the game... a little slower than most.

I really don't know myself what lies ahead... right now I'm still working on WA issues, such as distribution, and a bug-fixing update that should be out later this week.
I hope to have an editor out in the future, but how exactly that will take shape I don't know.
(it certainly wouldn't be a $35 product though, remember that RTWP actually contains "three" games, the original RTW+Editor (which was $19.95) plus the new Deluxe level set and features + the new Platinum level set and features)

Wouldn't the editor be really complex?Midnight Synergy wrote: I hope to have an editor out in the future, but how exactly that will take shape I don't know.
On the midnight synergy site, there was a screenshot of the level editor.
Doesn't that mean that it has been made?

yea, right now it's actually three different tools, none of which with a good user interface, and lots and lots of "looking up values in tables of numbers". Not fun or intuitive - and this will need some time to re-work.Muzozavr wrote:Darshan, you probably didn't read what MS said about the reasonings to not to publish an editor: it's too hard to use. Yeah, it's more like a development tool.
Do you mean that only the coders (like MS) would use it?Midnight Synergy wrote:yea, right now it's actually three different tools, none of which with a good user interface, and lots and lots of "looking up values in tables of numbers". I did! Well, sort of... I got a JAVA book and learned the basic syntax. In second grade I found w3cschools.com.
I'm currently programming in JAVA now and doing weird web-stuff with XHTML, JAVA, JavaScript, PHP+MySQL, and I used to put Vitalize! in. I can't now because I'm waiting for the new version.

MS, I was serious about the mail thing. I can't think of any Platinum level ideas, I'm stuck in WA, and I'm bored out of my skull.
Please? PLEASE? PLEEEEASE!
