Wowee, I only got 2 wrong.

I must learn to get janetgalle's clues. She always puts her name in there and I never spot it.  I was sure hers was the one with the ZIP clue, she's always showing folks how to zip things. I only got Wonderfull right because it was the only one left.

Now, come on, admit it, who didn't get mine right?

Congratulations you three, perhaps you should decide the grand winner with a mud wrestling contest.

Well, only Laura and Loirae sent in their number picks and they both picked #1, the correct number! :D So, this may be another futile attempt to narrow the winners down to '1'.

All THREE of you are WINNERS!!! :D :D :D

This was a difficult contest and all three of you deserve the NUMBER ONE SPOT!!!

So another CONGRATULATIONS to LAURA, LOIRAE and KAZZIE! :D :D :D :D :D :D 8)

Well Done Ladies!

Did everyone except popo get my clue?
1.Just another not entirely tidy desk.
2. I originally had Loirae down as #2 from the clue, then I changed it 'cause somewhere in her "tell me about yourself" back and forth with Laurie she said "I haven't got a clue" so I looked for one without a clue.
3. Robyn I knew this was you at first look.
4. Once again I originally had this as Laura, but I changed it to Ann because the clue was something about Pooh, and Ann has Pooh as her avatar. But then Laura said Beware the top of the desk and that was the only other one besides mine that you couldn't see the top of. But by this time I was tired of making changes.
5. I guessed Lutz because of the ashtray and the world map and the tiny photos of what looked like travel pictures. (He's a traveling man, our Lutz!)
6. Peegman, you were easy. (It looks rather like my grandsons desk)
7. Bob, is that a portable CD player on the shelf?
8. Laurie, your desk does look Canadian! (No, it was the eyeballs that clued me in.)
9. I remember seeing a picture of Lillie at that gorgeous glass desk, in picture 10.Even tho any fool can see the big pic of her and the boys on desk number 9. So I had Rose and Lillie mixed up. (I couldn't recall your face Rose, sorry)
10. See #9
11. popo, I believed you.
12. Dizzy, I knew yours right away too. Before ANY of your freakin' clues!
13. Kiki, I thought you were the one with the ZIP (you know... nada, nothing, 0 ) thing because your pc was on the blink.
14. Monica, I knew yours right off too.
15. Ann, didn't have much to go on, so you were last, and so was #15.
16. Kaz, even though I actually understood your clue, the bunny gave it away.

This was alot of fun.
Come up with another good one now, won't you ladies?

Dangy brilliant you three! I got three wrong  I mixed up Wonderfull, Anne and JG. I totally didn't get your clue Janet (DUH on my part) I too had guessed Anne's with the Pooh cuz of her avatar but then changed it also.

JG how did you know mine right away hehehehe There couldn't be anyone who got mine wrong!

This was fun! I like that these contest are all about stuff we have no idea about. We are getting to know each other better and chatting more. That's a nice thing. Plus on the selfish side it gives me something to do when it's freakin' cold out and I'm bored to my core here hehehe

Rose? I want yer desk!!!!!!!!

Isn't it beautiful, I still can look at it and think "I love that desk". Btw I designed it myself.

I had 10 out of 16 good. I sent it very quick and after that more clues, so I think not bad at all.

It is made by a one man compagny who just made glass things. Sadly enough he had to stop with the business because with lifting all those heavy glass he hurt his back and has a hernia. He is not allowed to lift heavy things anymore.

You're not the first one to say this JG, what I am suprised at is that none of you "old timers" remember the "Qookie & Emily" stories I use to write about. Gawd, I had to buy toys, clothes & cook for that little stinker,
Do any of you remember the story where Qookie went to Denver with us .. He (Em insisted Qookie was a boy) left on his own adventure for a few days & came back a girl
I miss those days, my baby has grown up

And now for the rest of the story......
My desk now resides in a hallway, actually the part of the house that connects the house to my hubbys office. The other side of the hall is a laundry area because I got tired of climbing stairs carrying tons of stuff. So now the dungeon ( BIG-icky-empty basement) has my icky old recliner, a table, a lamp, a heater, an ashtray, and a lonely icky toilet.
And the Laundry has my desk.
My desk (surface) is usually kept pretty clear because when Alex (18 months) is here (3 days a week).....well, you know how inquisitive (grabby) they are at that age. All the stuff to the right of the desk is usually behind a folding screen.....out of sight, out of mind, you know.

My picture was pretty small so you probably couldn't see the clues in the pic very well. (Too bad, you should have guessed me from my written clue!)

Laura.... the top of your beautiful desk cannot possibly any scarier than mine!

popo.... I didn't really believe you, ( ) but I recognized your fractal design desktop/background.

Had a great time with this one. Thanks all who worked so hard on it!

And here I thought mine was pretty obvious! The eyeballs were a clue (both mine and hubby's were on the screen on my computer). But the biggest clue was the photo of my bleach-blond little boy on the top of the desk. I figured everyone who looked up the photos for the eyball contest would have noticed the little blondie amonst a family full of brunettes (he is legit btw )
And just how does my desk look "Canadian" btw? CLuttered perhaps? It's a very "working desk".

I think I got 10 right, and that was pretty good considering I really didn't have time to look up clues etc (and some of the clues given went ovver my head!) I had Bob's right, then changed it, same with Laura's.

THat was fun. Congrat's to you wizkids who got them all right. That's impressive!!
It's a Wonderfull life

Oh yes I remember them (they were so cute!).......if only you had said "Qookie and Emily", (Well maybe that would have given it away.) or "Qookie and Somebody" or even "Qookie and ?", we wouldn't have been so confused!!! Where exactly did Pooh come into it?

I actually had to look at the entrants to see if "Eeyore" was playing.

I wanted to invite Eeyore to play but she doesn't stop by much. Busy girl!

JG you have the same desk as me but I took my top off <gasp> and changed the handles on the two file drawers!

No JG The top of my desk isn't that messy.. but my office is Image We just bought this house last summer, it was built in the early 60's and HAS NEVER BEEN UPDATED.. yes that's really foil wallpaper you see behind my desk (loverly isn't it )    it's not like I can just peel it off and paint either .. the wall paper is stuck straight onto the unfinished drywall  The stone wall is the backside of our fireplace upstairs, we actually have two massive stone fireplaces ( 1 up, 1 down) It's very toasty warm in, my office cause we use the fireplaces for heat, the stones really absorb & hold the heat in :D

Hubby and I are "discussing" what to do with the "foil wall" I'd like to knock it down completely and extend the kitchen/dinning area (which is what's behind that wall) he wants ME to wall paper & paint right over it. Right at the moment we have about 50 gazillion other projects that are more of a priority, I'll get that wall knocked sown someday

I love Pooh, all my avatars use to be nothing but Pooh, Kym made me tons of them :D Then I became a " non-member" member for awhile .. not caring what my avatar was... I guess I expect you all to remember way to much

I do have a question for Monica ... didn't you post a pic of those chomper teeth somewhere on here, I swear I saw them, but couldn't find them anywhere when i went searching through old posts :?

Oh, sorry, Janet! I'm often cryptic, but not that cryptic. I went back and read where I made the flip answer "haven't a clue" to "what's your sign." Ooopppps!  Should've been more precise. When I said one of my answers was a clue, I meant #4: I like puzzles. There are many crossword puzzles to the left of my monitor.

1. I saw your name in that clue, J.A.N.E.T.D. :D
2. Mine. Kind of. Due to a year plus of family unemployment, my whole family had recently moved around the country, finally landing in my parent's house. It's mom dad's desk, but we share - see the two keyboards and two mouses, etc?
3. GoBlue
4. Qookie and Pooh, sounds like Emily
5. A world map, ashtray, coffee cup on the left side - I thought he was left handed. That's where I keep my drinks if I have left side to the desk. But maybe I'm thinking of someone else. That might've been a lucky guess.
6. Simpson's clue.
9. Lillie left a picture of herself on the desk.
10. Rose and her lovely desk.
11. Popo said she was #11 so.... duh.
12. I almost had uneekrose/monica down as #12!!! For the same reason as Janet's clue.
No kids allowed in the main office!
NKAINMO = MONIKA (yes, a k instead of a c)

Use sofa table in kitchen nook!
USTIKN = USTINK (like Uneek, but for a stinker)

But it wasn't precise enough leaving out a T in the first line from "The" and leaving off the ER from "Stinker" in the second line. It was too much of a stretch, trying to make a puzzle piece fit into the wrong spot.

Diz, I still have no idea what your clues mean, but thanks for making me do all that brain work.

13. Who else spends all day and night in the editor? King kiki!!!
14. I went a reading and found where monica talked about her fish tank. Ah Ha!
15. Anne's I got from reading through her works asking for help over how to ZIP something, and then talking about her trip to Niagara. Looked like waterfalls.
16. I did the math and came up with 67 which is part of her name kaz67.

And in the end, I put Bob on 7 and Wonderful on 8 because I had two desks left and two names and #8 had girlie bright colored toys and a stuffed bear high up.

Just kidding Laurie.

We live about 130 miles from Winnipeg and the Canadian shoppers flock here on weekends and Holidays. (Very good exchange rate now) They are
very friendly (like you) and good humored.
Some come on tour buses to our store to shop for groceries (and very fine Bakery items! :) ) After they hit the malls, of course.
We go up to various places in Manitoba several times a year, for camping, shopping and The Arts. I am getting my passport updated, so we can cross over the border this summer.

What part of Canada are you from?
Anywhere near Bob? Although I don't actually know where he is from either.
(And for some reason I believe Patrick is Canadian also? He has never given us many details.)

I did look up your picture, but that clue flew right by me.

Did you get my North Dakota desk right?

That photo of me is about 5 years old and the boys are only about 2 and 3. Also my hair is up so I didn't think it looked like me at all!   My desk looks completely different now as we just got a printer/scanner (never had one before!) so I have had to shift a lot of stuff around! It is SO cool to have a scanner - because now I can scan old photo's! :D How about a "Wedding Photo" comp or just a photo of us with an ex from ages ago? 8)

I got three wrong - Dizzbomb's, Janet's and Monica-ca-ca's. I could have sworn Monica-ca-ca's poem was one of your's Janet - you always do good poems :D I didn't see your name J.A.N.E.T at all in desky number one clue! What is the D for? Must be Dizzy because I put Dizz for number one! :? :D
