Alright, so it's been a long time, and after a lot of work (as in putting a level together and swearing under my breath), a second beta of N&QNSEA has been put together.
There are only a few differences:
*Cutscenes added (Before Word Man and afterwards)
*Cartman's Stage added
*Cartman boss added
*New icon for program
*Fixed grammer in title
*Changed ammo graphic for Word Man (also used on Cartman)
Yes, the Cartman referred to here is indeed the one from South Park, but no, he never uses any foul language - there are one or two words, but nothing too bad, unless you consider ass and hell really bad.
BTW, Level 2 is indeed completable.
I'm a jerk, I know. Feel free to be mad at me (once you see what I'm talking about).
This time around, I need to know people's opinions on it more than ever, so I know what to do for the next stage.
Specifically, the icon, the way that the 8-bit stage works with the rest, how easy the boss is, how easy the stages are (both of them), and the two (three counting intro) cutscenes in the game.

NESsimman and Qtheman's Not So Epic Adventure, BETA 2
Umm, the first stage (Word Man) seems unbeatable since after the first enemy, when you have to get up by jumping on green blocks, I just fall through the top one.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Mkay, gonna set a button to skip it.Muzozavr wrote:The dialog wait is unbearable.
Whoops, forgot to set the restart frame and music restart... I can fix that fast enough.Muzozavr wrote:If you die at the second boss, the game restarts and the music goes nuts.
I'm not quite sure I understand... Is that at the part qhere you need to jump in a U-Turn? If so, then I'll think about how to fix this.Muzozavr wrote:The jumping in the second stage is wonky.
Not a problem, it's a nice challenge in fact. The problem is that you jump so high, you don't see where are you going to land.
Also, you've got to set some sort of a timer that limits the speed with which you can shoot bullets. If you just tap the button with two fingers you can get ridiculous firepower. And in the second stage doing that too much near the start may prevent you from shooting until you get to the boss. o_0
Also, can you come up with an intro that's not a combo of Dustin Wyatt's Epic Adventure and IWBTG?

I had to code the shooting from scratch, so I'll see if I can find why it makes it impossible to shoot.
Yeah, I'll see what I can do about the intro.
