Yeah, I don't think enough variables are given away. We need the value of x, probably.

Think outside the box -- there IS a solution!
No, really, there is. It's an old puzzle.

(In case you're confused the expression goes through the entire alphabet. The dots just shorten the writing, that's it.)

Yes of course, you used the - sign before, but now you are using the +, so I don't see it.

Sorry, I've mistyped it. Now it's with the minus sign.

I don't really understand the point of this topic. 100 + 1000 could not be a part of a guessing game. It's just simple Maths. :?

Muzo, didn't you post that puzzle last year?

Just a quick example of number guessing:
*The number is between 1 and 20.
*It is an even number.
*There is the same number of digits as the number in the tens place.

*insert a few guesses or so here*

*The number in the ones place is higher than the number in the tens place.

*28*
@Muzo's puzzle: ... :shock: ...

I would guess that each letter corresponds to their placement, but I'm not sure... again...

If it is... Uhhhhh...

Jeez, I honestly don't know.

To Qloof234: the puzzle with plus signs was not solvable. It was a typo.
The puzzle with minus signs IS solvable.

And I think I did post it before, but I think it does fit here too.

Very simple!
(x-x)(x-a)(x-b)...(x-w)(x-y)(x-z)

=0.

Yes, that was it. Always watch out for (x-x).

@Muzo; I was thinking along the lines of negative numbers included, but I was off by a lot as I can see now

What level math is that anyhow?
