Anyone still struggling with this silly little brain teaser who wants the solution, PM me. I would post it, but there may be some who don't want to know as yet.

I showed the solution to the maths guy and he said it must have taken someone AGES to do this. I said no, a gaming granny just put it together quickly in between designing loads of levels. You should have seen his face! (he's 18, so anyone over 30 is over the hill).

Thanks O/G.

There's no way I'd have solved it for myself.

I'm sorry I didn't win my Life Savers but I wanted to know too bad.

My brain just doesn't function in that direction.

Do they make Polos in fruit flavours now? I remember them as being "the mint with the hole in the middle"

Do you know that horses love Polos? My best friend (her name is Pauline, too) always carries Polos with her
for the local horses that she meets.

Yes, they make original, spearmint, peppermint, fruit and, I'm told, jelly fruit ones too.

Yes, I know horses love the mint ones.

Liz,

Didn't it take you back? I had to smile at so much of that, my mum always came away with the craziest sayings.

One of her favourites was... " If you burn your backside, it's YOU who has to sit on the blister."

Not one to compliment (she was afraid we'd get a swollen head) her children, one night I was all dressed up for my high school dance and asked mum if I looked alright. Her reply.. "Aye, you'll dae tae the doctor sees ye."  I'm still not very good at accepting compliments, wonder why!

My mother had to have it both ways, if I did something wrong...."I don't know where you get it from, must be your father's side of the family because it's certainly not mine."

If I made her proud......"She just takes after me!"

I can remember the time my dad caught me smoking;

Don't smoke "you smoke"

Don't do as I do "do as I say"

I swore I would never tell my kids that..

Some medical science my mother taught me was: "If you swallow that chewing gum it will wrap around your heart and kill you!"
Also where babies come from: "Your belly button is a key hole which opens a door in your tummy and the baby comes out".
I was quite surprised  when I had my first baby.

I never had any babies Liz, still waiting for the stork to bring them.

Know the chewing gum one too.

Did you know this? For each lie you tell a little black dot appears on your tongue, gradually all the black dots join up and your tongue falls out. :P

If you kiss a boy a tooth will fall out.

What an education we had!

When I used to get a painful, swollen tastebud on my tongue, my mum used to tell me it was because I had been telling lies.....and, you know what? I always had!
