YOU.
You are a hairy fleabag.
You never do a stitch of work.
You lick the faces of complete strangers with the sole intention of underlining my own social inhibitions.
Sometimes you smell like old red wine, a bouquet of damp fur.
Not only are you colour blind, you also cannot tell the difference between a carpet and a couch.
You pretend that you find the word 'no' incomprehensible.
You insist on sharing your unmelodious bark with the entire neighbourhood.
For some reason, you are afraid of statues.
Statues just freak you out.
You are utterly shameless.
You are the laziest, dirtiest, most stubborn and presumptuous thing I have ever known in my entire life.
AND I THINK YOUR'E PERFECT.
IT'S A DOG THING!

My husband and I were cleaning up the yard earlier and a strange thing occured. We have a pond with between 18 to 22'ish fish. It is difficult to count them because the water is not crystal and there are plants and logs, etc. Anyway, here I am bent over and pulling weeds, and such when all of a sudden "SPLASH". I jumped...my husband jumped and my dog growled.
We all stared at the pond...There it was...OMG...We couldn't believe our eyes. My sweet little Koy named Pumba (from the Lion King) has pretty much doubled in size from about 9 to 12 inches to I would have to say 18. It has been so warm here for the past few days that my little fishies have begun to perk up. Andy ran and fetched the food...Pumba was jumping out of the water and eating like mad. I thought JAWS had some how entered my sweet little pond. His head is the size of my fist.
Jasmin kept her distance and watched. Everytime Pumba jumped, she jumped, growled and went back to staring. It was so funny to watch her reaction.

I created this thread and forgot that it existed. Anyway, sorry I have not been on the forum in a while still trying to catch up! My husband and I have been trying to get our little place on the lake opened and cleaned up for the season.
Last week we went there and took along Tinkerbell and Jasmin. The lake is only 1/2 an hour from home so we stay there during the week a lot. Anyway, the day we were coming home for the weekend we could not find Tinkerbell. She is a house cat so we immediately thought she escaped! We had everyone looking for her for over 2 hours. She would not even come to the sound of her favorite treats being shaken around in the can. I started to cry because I had just lost my old girl (Lacey who was almost 19) in September. I was very upset and sobbing openly.
Well, someone had to use the bathroom and when they flushed there was this horrible screech and a thump!!! Everyone came running to the bathroom! So, there we all are (6 of us) staring at the toilet when this little tiny pink nose sticks out from behind the toilet!
Apparently there was an opening to the back of the tank and my little tiny Tinkerbell decided to crawl up inside and nap (at 2 years old she is only 3 pounds). The rod attached to the handle pinched her tail. Thank god she is okay but I can't say that I am!
I was cleaning earlier today and moved her carrier to vacuum and she went crazy! She hissed at me and hid under the couch! I guess we won't be bringing her back to the lake for a while

Baby Turtle
A baby turtle was standing at the bottom of a large tree and with a deep sigh, started to climb. About an hour later, he reached a very high branch and walked along to the end. He turned and spread all four flippers and launched himself off the branch. On landing at the bottom in a pile of soft, dead leaves, he shook himself off, walked back to the bottom of the tree and with a sigh started to climb.
About an hour later, he again reached the very high branch, walked along, turned, spread his flippers and flung himself off the branch. Again, he landed on the bottom, shook himself off, went to the bottom of the tree, sighed and started climbing.
Watching these proceedings from the end of the branch were two little birds.
Mummy bird turned to Daddy bird and said, "Don't you think it's time we told him he was adopted?"
King of the Jungle..
A lion woke up one morning feeling really rowdy and mean. He went out and cornered a small monkey and roared,
"Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?"
The trembling monkey says, "You are, mighty lion!
Later, the lion confronts a ox and fiercely bellows,
"Who is the mightiest of all jungle animals?"
The terrified ox stammers, "Oh great lion, you are the mightiest
animal in the jungle!"
On a roll now, the lion swaggers up to an elephant and roars,
"Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?"
Fast as lightning, the elephant snatches up the lion with his trunk, slams him against a tree half a dozen times leaving the lion feeling like it'd been run over by a safari wagon. The elephant then stomps on the lion till it looks like a corn tortilla and ambles away.
The lion lets out a moan of pain, lifts his head weakly and hollers after the
elephant -
"Just because you don't know the answer, you don't have to get so upset about it!"

Very beautiful Labs, Dakota.

I love the pics of your sister's dogs, Shorty. They look sweet. The cats are adorable. We have two. An orange tabby (also called a marmalade) and a small white long hair with a very sweet face.
Thanks, all, for the stories and pics.
